Me and my partner live in the area and have been to Milky Lane over a dozen times and up until this past week, we have been on the whole satisfied with the food and service offered at this restaurant. Previously there have been minor issues with orders etc and staff were wonderful with rectifying issues, even going as far as offering complementary drinks in one case.

On Saturday 1/1/25 me and partner attended, and everything was good except the mac and cheese croquettes came out a bit burnt. No worries, we needed to head home so we requested a refund for just that item (which we did not eat). When we requested the refund, because we put it through the self service (QR code thing) we were told it should be reversed and we'd receive a refund for just that item within a few hours - which in my opinion is not right anyway, refunds should not be delayed at a restaurant.

We never received the refund that day. My partner returned to Milky Lane yesterday to discuss the refund, because the manager was not available she was told to wait until the manager returned the servers call. She left her number with Milky Lane but they never followed up.

That comes to today, still no refund. I visited Milky Lane in the afternoon to discuss this issue, and rather than take responsibility I was told that it was entirely a third party issue (Choosey?) and that the refund should have gone through. At this point I was offered a cash refund for the item. The server was perfectly polite but it is frustrating to be told this after three separate contacts regarding a $13 refund.

Afterwards my partner did receive a polite text from the business which did take some responsibility however we were requested to send through a screenshot of the transaction not including a refund. As someone who has worked in hospitality it's a frustrating experience to have to chase up a restaurant for something as frivolous as a refund which should have been...

I was really excited to try Milky Lane after seeing them advertised online so much.

We were meeting friends there and decided to eat outside since the night was warm.

The QR code on our table was completely gouged out so we couldn't order through our phones. We were happy to order our large dinner through the kind waitress who bought us water while we waited.

One of the cups was dirty, but was easily fixed with a new one fresh from the washer.

Our food looked and smelled absolutely incredible! We got the loaded fries and I had the Post Malone after seeing it had mashed potatoes as part of the burger.

Because the restaurant is located in an auditorium type layout, we had lovely greenery and trees beside us. Unfortunately, they did smell a bit funky when we were trying to eat, and we were harassed by a flying cockroach that had us paranoid after having it scurry along our umbrella and land on one of our friends.

It is a little hard to find with the trees blocking the signage from the road, but we were able to find it after a little wander through the auditorium.

The food itself was amazing. I've never been so full from a burger before! The Malone is defiantly worth it! The mashed potatoes make for a delicious combination, but are messy. I thought it was great 🤣 I'd really love another burger just like it closer to where I live, but nothing truly beats Milky Lane.

The loaded fries were just incredible. We couldn't get enough 😅

The meals were reasonably priced too for all the extras you get on the burgers. There were a bunch of fun drinks to try too which were very tempting.

Overall, I loved Milky Lane. If I'm in the area again, I'd love to return, but maybe eat...

We were super excited to try the all you can eat wings night at Milky Lane! We knew it was a new concept for them, but it was pretty clear the staff weren’t fully across how it was meant to work yet. The (manager?) was really friendly and explained the deal properly to us and also to the staff at the same time, which was fine but not ideal since you would hope they’d already know. They really emphasised the 90-minute window, so our group of three ordered right away to make the most of it.

Unfortunately, even though we ordered quickly, the food took a very long time to come out. The sides arrived way earlier than the chicken, and they got cold while we waited - hard not to eat them all before the mains came. When the chicken wings finally came, they were just okay definitely not drenched in flavor like we expected, especially given the wait time.

We totally understand it’s a new concept, but it just wasn’t very satisfying. The staff apart from manager seemed lost the entire sitting. Milky Lane usually nails the burgers and other menu items, so we were pretty disappointed the chicken didn’t live up to that same standard. After the first round, we still had plenty of time and ordered a second round, but it also took forever. We even had to ask for drinks and check in about where the food was. Again, sides came out first…got cold, and we were left still waiting on the chicken.

Maybe it was just a bad night, but sadly it didn’t leave us wanting to come back for the all-you-can-eat event. It’s a shame because we were really excited at the start. The one highlight — my friend said his shake was good! But overall, none of the chicken flavors...

We really enjoyed our experience at Milky Lane for the most part. The staff were really lovely when they finally came to us and the food was made pretty quickly once our order was taken. Unfortunately after sitting at the table for 30 minutes we had to flag a staff member to take our orders when two other tables who had been seated well after us and both had their orders taken one received their order which was a bummer. As someone who has some hearing issues the music was just a bit too loud for me to hear the others at our table but the atmosphere was still nice. It was a shame the aero super shake didn’t really taste like aero, more just mint. I think if they mixed just a little of the chocolate into the shake rather than just having it around the rim of the glass it would help with that and the cream on top tasted like it was towards the end of its life. However, even with those things it was still a nice experience. The burger prices were so reasonable (the drinks are a bit on the pricy side for thick shakes) and they were quite yummy, there were definitely no complaints there. The chips and the sweet potato chips were nice and crunchy with great seasoning. My burger was supposed to have the cheese gravy on the burger itself but I asked for it on the side because I wasn’t sure if I would like the taste and it turned out to be a delicious dipping sauce for the chips. Would definitely love to go here again to try some of the other food options and their specialty cocktails as well as their dessert cocktails and be able to update the Star rating ☺️
