I recently had the pleasure of dining at Motto Motto, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's modern yet cozy decor set the tone for a memorable meal.
The menu at Motto Motto is diverse and thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of Japanese-inspired dishes including Vegan options. Whether you're a lotus root crisp lover, a ramen enthusiast, or looking for something unique, there's something to satisfy every palate. I couldn't resist trying their vegan ramen (2 for 1 deal), and I was not disappointed. The ramen was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour.
The service at Motto Motto was impeccable. The staff, particularly Arisa, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions, which added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Motto Motto truly offers a dining experience that goes above and beyond. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a place to celebrate with friends, or simply a delicious meal, this restaurant is a top-notch choice. It's no wonder it has earned a reputation for excellence. I can't wait to return to Motto Motto for another unforgettable culinary journey.
let’s just say I cleaned that bowl right up....
Read moreI really can’t understand how this place could be 4.8 stars on Google reviews. We’d never tried it before and were persuaded by how popular and well rated it is… but found it to be very low quality food and poor service. Our gyoza were burnt black. The chicken was brown and rubbery. The salmon bowl was ok but for $25 with the slaw option, the portion was crazy tiny. I’m not a big eater and it didn’t even satisfy me - about 3 pieces of salmon and less than a cup of slaw. I could go to a high end takeaway restaurant around the area like Mizu or Hikari and get much more food for that price - probably 8-10 pieces of sashimi with soup, salad & rice in a full bento box. And apart from the food itself, the service was slow and unimpressive. They apparently dropped 1 serve of gyoza and remade it (kudos to them for remaking), but the other food was left sitting for about 10 minutes while they remade the dropped serving - so it was unfortunately cold. And it was quite late in the day (after 2pm), so it wasn’t very busy. But the order still took around 20-25 mins to be ready. Unfortunately not impressed and...
Read moreAfter eating here for the first time we were shocked to see that it has a 4.8 star rating on google. We got karaage and chips first: the chips were good but the chicken not only tasted bad, but it was razor thin slices of dry chicken in a lot of coating, which also didn’t taste good. Then we had the teriyaki, which we both found to taste very bad and not at all like a usual teriyaki flavour, and the chicken itself had a bad taste and texture. It came with a poached egg which was very undercooked - not like soft boiled, I mean the egg white was still very runny. It came with a miso soup which was nice, so they might have good ramen, but I didn’t try it. Lastly we had karaage curry. As a Kenko curry junky, I was disappointed by the karaage curry. Not because it’s not the same style of chicken as Kenko, but because it was the same bad tasting and razor thin chicken in the karaage we had with the chips. Anyone who knows me knows that I rarely leave food on my plate, but today we walked out leaving a lot of food...
