Wish I took photos but didn't. Really really good food. We came for a platter of meat, but there were so many tasty entrees and other menu items that we ended up doing a share table between myself, my wife and 16 year old son.

We got the Pulled Beef Cigars which were definitely smokey and tender as well as the Short Rib Empanadas. The Cigars were in a typical spring roll thin crunchy casing where the empanadas were more of a pastry. We also ordered the Jalepeno Bullets which were nice and nothing wrong with them, but I'd have preferred (just my 2 cents) that Smokey Moo had taken advantage of their smoker and made bacon wrapped cream cheese filled Jalepenos encased in bacon and then smoked as a nice addition to the menu. We also got the Mac n Cheese Pastrami balls which all 3 of us liked the least and didn't finish. But it didn't take away from the positives of their food. All above were entrees. For mains we ordered the chicken burger which my son ate and he seemed to like it. To be fair he is not with me while writing this review to ask him more details. My wife and I got the mixed Tacos. I stressed to the lovely friendly waitress that we wanted 2 lots of those. But when the mains came out we were missing one which I had an inkling of a feeling may happen. But I did say twice we wanted 2 lots but still felt as though that may not have been understood entirely and that she was just saying yes but still not actually hearing me. But I didn't want to be a dick and keep on going on trying to say the same thing. So when the mains came out and mine didn't turn up as expected, I went to the till and they said they will get the kitchen on to it ASAP and we won't have to pay for one of the Taco plates. THIS IS HOW YOU GET REPEAT BUSINESS. We loved 95% of the food with just a couple of small nitpicks. But taking ownership of cock-ups in orders and giving the customer (not even a freebie) but an acknowledgement of 'we got it wrong' and doing something to fix it goes a LONG way. So many businesses don't know how to do that. And don't get me started on Maccas and how they always stiff me and I never get an extra 🤣 Anyway give Smokey Moo's a crack. We will definitely be back to try a meat platter next time. Oh and we also ordered the Pecan Pie for dessert which was obviously a bought in mass produced product, but it did taste good. And we lastly got the Hazlenut Coffee Sundae with alcohol (which costs extra) and DAAAAAAMN it was EPIC. Like just pay the extra for the alcohol. I could have a really unproductive day drinking that morning til night 😂🤣 But the alcohol is what really made that dessert. Without it, it would just be a regular chocolate sundae. But with it OMG it was gooooood 🙂 I have given you guys 5 stars for service and atmosphere. I have given 4 for the food because I believe the mac n cheese pastrami balls, jalepeno bullets and pecan pie were bought items as opposed to made on site. Though 2 of those 3 were still pretty good I'd prefer to have given a 4.6 rating if it was possible. All in all a positive experience and we WILL be back very soon. If you love smokey meats, then this is the...

Whilst the eating quality of the food itself was acceptable, this poorly rated review is due to the apparent lack of value-for-money which I understand is a personal perception to an extent; however, a perception that was also shared by others in my lunch party. On the day (12 May 24), the meal my party had ordered was the 'Mighty Moo' which also comes at a mighty cost of $550 clearly advertised in the menu. Add in a couple of beers, a side of macaroni & cheese and a few soft drinks then of course the credit card surcharge (not disputing) and the 5% Sun trading standard surcharge (also not disputing) and the total bill adds up very quickly and for my group, in the vicinity of $700 which in itself, it is what it is. I understand that the meat is meant to be 3kg which I suspect is weighed when the meat is raw (rather than cooked) but it certainly didn't appear to be that when it was presented. Not having a set of scales handy with me at the time, I had to take their word for it but being a home smoked BBQ meat enthusiast myself, I roughly know what 3kgs of meat looks like. Further, when we had ordered our (only) 3 beers, the quantity in one of the glasses was inconsistent with the other two glasses and a consistent and proper fill was requested and met by staff. Would this however not be the responsibility of the barman at the time of pouring and then possibly the waiter when collecting the drinks? Note also from the pic that only 5 small pots of Jus were delivered and not the advertised 6 portions - minor issue but yet another inconsistency. As previously mentioned, the final bill came in at around $700 and for that I expect much more than what was delivered. My group consisted of 7 adults and 4 kids all aged 6yrs and under so not even close to the advertised 'Feeds 12 people'. If 12 adults had've formed my group on the day, not everyone's appetite would have been adequately satisfied. The meal also included salads, chips and garlic bread but let's face it, the meat dish is definitely the 'star of the show' here. I understand that the current cost of living is at an all time high but my group and I couldn't help but feel significantly short-changed by the whole dining experience. I don't mind paying for quality but surely there's also a 'quantity' aspect to that as well of which I believe was severely lacking for us on the day.

Smokey Moo is hands down my favourite smoked meat/bbq restaurant. Actually it's my favourite restaurant. Walking in, you're greeted with the most amazing aroma of smoked meat that makes your mouth water. The rustic ambience and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the food - I mean meat! Smokey Moo lives up to their catchphrase - Crazy Good Beef! The smoked brisket is incredibly tender and flavourful, and the Pastrami is melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Every dish is carefully crafted and bursting with a rich, smoky flavour that keeps me coming back for more.

The sides and sauces are equally impressive. Whether it's the pastrami mac and cheese balls, jalapeno bullets or perfectly seasoned fries, every accompaniment is a delight in itself. Smokey Moo do a nice cob salad or tangy coleslaw if you like a bit of greenery! And they have a great selection of house-made sauces allows you to tailor your meal to your exact liking. My latest faves are the onion rings and the pulled beef or chicken Tacos! My Tip....Order extra smokey moo jus!

If you're are looking for a tasty beverage to wash down with your meal, Smokey Moo offer a fantastic variety of drinks to complement their delicious meals! Choices range from soft drinks and milkshakes to craft beers, cocktails, spirits and wine! My tips - milkshakes for the kids, and a A&W root beer or creaming soda for yourself and a cocktail for the Mrs! If you feel like a coldy, the Moo Brew Pale ale is my go to beer!

Smokey Moo is a must-visit for any carnivore or smoked barbecue enthusiast. Whether you're craving mouthwatering smoked meats or just want to indulge in delicious food, this place has it all. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch barbecue and a memorable dining...

The Smokey Moo experience begins as you walk towards the restaurant. From across Gasworks Plaza you can already smell the fruits of their labour, setting expectations high! These expectations were exceeded upon arrival, the helpful staff quickly seated us. We didn't have to wait for long before our orders were taken (excellent table service) and we settled in with a drink. Again, the wait for the meals seemed impossibly short, and exceeded expectation. Very rarely does a meal come out looking exactly as displayed on the photo, and yet the 'Dirty Dozen' looked to be straight from the studio. Impeccably presented, the cuts of meat were prepared diligently and the accompanying fries were delicious (I don't usually rate hot chips too highly as a food, however the Moo Fries were delicious). Again I cannot stress how attentive the staff were, ensuring all our needs were catered to, in an nonintrusive manner. The team absolutely know their craft, and once I recover from the euphoria I left in, I will return!

Ordered brisket and ribs. Two of the five pieces were inedible and 50% gristle through the entire cut and too tough and chewy to actually eat. The rest of the brisket was OK/average. I don't even mind gristle but it needs to be slow cooked long enough to break down which this wasnt. The ribs were extremely tough and dry. It didn't come on the bone so not sure if they cook without bone or something. I've had good BBQ in Brisbane and this is the worst I've experienced. Edit: I read your response and agree waiting for delivery will not show the meat at its best. If you are aware that the point end (fattiest portion) is ruined by delivery I suggest you do not send this out for delivered orders. A good lesson for your restaurant because the other pieces were fine. Regading ribs why don't you price for 3 ribs or reduce price and charge for bone. I've had takeaway ribs plenty but never that dry. I.e. you reduce rate per gram but increase portion size to allow for bone.
