Trying to support local business during Covid-19. However so disappointed with Nandos Forest Lake and their service. Ordered a $30 takeway through Uber Eats who were to leave the delivery in front of my door. I went to collect the order and the bag was wide open. It had not been stapled or sticky taped shut. I called the store to ask them if they had stapled it shut and they say they had. However, upon closer inspection I could see only one side of the bag had been stapled. They just stapled the receipt to one side of the bag. They had not stapled the bag shut. I told them I could bring the bag to the store to show them (even though I am trying to self isolate). They were dismissive and told me to call Uber Eats. Anyone could clearly see that the bag had only been stapled on one side and not stapled shut Instead of listening to me, the person on the phone talked over me and offered empty apologies. And was basically trying to get me off the phone. Usually I wouldnt bother but in a Covid19 world i am taking more precautions and so should businesses...especially when you are spending hard earned money to support them. Read moreWe purchased a whole chicken, chips and coleslaw a while back. However, both containers of coleslaw were 'off' - it smelled 'off' and tasted 'off'. None of us were able to eat it and we threw it out. We ordered again from Nandos recently and I explained the coleslaw situation to the staff. No apology or refund were offered, just questions about whether it smelled 'tangy' and if we observed a 'used-by' sticker. One guy in the kitchen assured me that the current batch of coleslaw was made just an hour ago which made me feel better. Despite the unfortunate coleslaw episode, the chicken is really good here and the meal we had last night was great, including the coleslaw which was very fresh. I'd like to see this shop do the right thing by customers. An apology and/or refund goes a long way towards keep customers happy. I work in the food industry and have many years of experience in commercial kitchens so do know fresh from 'off' food. Read moreWorst experience ever, l ordered seriously large chips and chicken ribs for dinner. The seriously chips were just over half full so l asked the lady to add some more she agreed to do so but said l would have to wait 3 mins for some fresh chips which l didn’t see the point since they were already some in the tray. Nevertheless l decided to go and grab some fruits while l wait for the 3 mins. When l came back the lady who mentioned that she was the boss handed me my order but to my surprise the chips were still the same small amount not even hot. I then asked her if she added more chips at this point she got so angry and refused to add more chips because she insisted that she put 3 scoops of chips and she was not going to add any more. She was so rude at this point l asked to see the manager and she said she was the manager. She was a tall slim lady with dark l did not get her name.
