Updated review 18/02/2023 Wow..what a dinner! First let me start by saying that my last review was really taken seriously. And for that we really appreciate it. Andres, the manager, has been nothing but accommodating and understanding about our last visit and went above and beyond to make things right. And tonight they did. The service was fantastic, thanks Shania! Andres checked on us and made sure everything was fine and the table was in a great location and not uncomfortable. The food was perfectly cooked and we left stuffed to the gills and extremely happy.
Thanks Andres and Shania for really going above and beyond with your customer service and helping us to erase a bad experience.

I love steak. Tonight's steak made me sad. I asked for rare and got medium to well... The prawns were super dry and tasted awful. Our server was nice and helpful but it would have been better to have not paid for the gross prawns.
Also please fix your floor, having someone walk over that loose flooring is incredibly annoying.
We have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a very long time, mostly due to my husband being American and craving a Bloomin Onion. It was well worth the long journey (almost 50kms) and expense.
So the not so great things first.
We were celebrating a birthday but not offered the birthday brownie which was a bit disappointing. Didn't ruin the night but still a little sad. I'm not sure how it really works but when we booked it asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and I said yes, assuming they'd ask if we wanted the brownie. If we come again I'll just ask next time.
The young guy that took our drinks order. Now I'm not sure if he was having a bad night, sorry if you were, but he was very abrupt and not very personable. It might have just been us though because the table behind us were told the cocktail special and where the drinks menu was but we were not. Possibly about 5-8 minutes after being sat that we were asked what drinks we wanted.
The Bloomin onion is small for the price. Delicious but small. When you've had the Texas Roadhouse version and then compare it to ours... It was just small. After all it's just a fried onion and it's comparable in price to the fried shrimp which is odd.
The 'Fresh sides' five potato options and one seasonal vege. No salads or corn or any other option which was super odd. When you get to pick two it's weird to have so many choices of the one vegetable. I mean we like potatoes but we don't want two different versions of potato.
The website menu. It is outdated. We had been looking forward to sharing a sirloin steak but it wasn't available anymore. It's okay though we enjoyed our meal but maybe remove it from your website?
Now the good stuff...
Our food server. She also checked us out when we left and we enquired with another team member what her name was and she told us it was Paisley. She's fantastic. Looked a little stressed but she was running around doing everything. She checked on us several times which is almost unheard of in Australian restaurants and that was greatly appreciated.
The food. Other than the weird lack of side options we were extremely impressed with our food. We always have such bad luck with steak (at other places) but they were seasoned beautifully and cooked exactly how we asked. There was a slight size discrepancy between the two steaks which probably would have gone unnoticed if we hadn't ordered the same cut but we've worked in the meat industry before so we understand that not every strip is going to be exactly the same.
The drinks were good sizes and the table water was free which is a plus. The appletini was lovely and perfectly made. Credit to your bartender.
The decor although a bit worn and dirty in places was keeping on theme for a steakhouse and the seats were comfortable and the table and cutlery clean and in...
Read moreWow so way worse than expected. Food quality was as bad as you could get without being Gordon Ramsay kitchen nightmare, had six lamb chops smallest lamb chops I’ve ever seen and I only had about 3 to 3 1/2 since the rest of the lamb chops were just fat and gristle the lamb chops clearly very quickly cooked and just painted with a very bland spice mixture.
Also had mashed potato which didn’t come like the picture showed in a bowl like twice the size of the amount of food we got .
When the meat came out, it came with a mushroom sauce which I can’t eat because it would make me sick so they didn’t bother to ask me or tell me that it came with that sauce. I asked for gravy. (And of course being Australian they should have gravy right?) they did not have gravy so I had to have the closest thing they had to it which was an extremely overly saturated black pepper sauce..
I also had a milkshake and it was about 65% whipped cream and about 35% drink.
My food took about 35 minutes to come out and my drink took about 40 to 45 minutes to come out. My friend eating had already half finished the meal by the time my meal came out and they were trying to eat slow.
My friends meal had some macaroni and cheese pasta which they said had so much cheese. It felt like he was just eating a chunk of cheese. They also had the same issue with the mash potato not being the same as pictured in the menu. They were also given the same mushroom sauce which for some reason tasted like Vegemite to them and the other person I was with which is very bizarre.
Before The Main food came out we had garlic bread which didn’t really taste like garlic bread. It was like a very thick doughy bread with a bit of margarine on it and no actual garlic taste with some weird seeds on top which almost broke one of my teeth since why the hell are there seeds on garlic bread?
My friend next to me which had a chicken and chip looking meal I don’t know the name myself. It tasted like a HSP from kebab shop in some fancier plated version their drink was also unknown to me but it was so strongly made that they had to pour water in it because it was super sweet. I could smell it from even where I was sitting.
And for the restaurant itself wasn’t bad. Service was good but those seats are so extremely uncomfortable. I had a sore back after eating. It was like sitting in church seats and the material of the very thin cushions was extremely unbreathable and stuck to my body which was disgusting, bad quality seemingly just like the food .
Overall the food quality is much worse than should be for the food prices. We all regretted it as soon as we got the meals and started eating and realised we could’ve all cooked food for one third of the price of the food we agreed. Not gonna go there again This massively makes me miss Hog’s Breath Cafe which made fantastic food. I expected it to be better than that but it seems like it wasn’t much better than a corner coffee shop or a...
Read moreMy experience tonight (22/08) was a DISASTER! If there’s a below 1 star I would definitely give that. I’ve made a booking a week prior to celebrate my partner and I’s anniversary. But little did I know that this supposedly lovely celebration will turn to a nightmare! Arrived 6:30PM- booking. Our table (table 42) was tiny when I specifically mentioned and requested for a more room table as we were planning to order heaps. Managed to order 6:35PM, we were fast as we already know what to get. We ordered, blooming onion and bushies for appetiser, two (2) bone in rib eye one med rare with seasonal veg requested for NO carrots, baked potato and desired sauces; second was MEDIUM with ceasar salad and mash and sauces. Our food was served half an hour including appetisers for the first 15minutes.
The med rare steak which we requested was undercooked but aright about it but with A LOT of carrots when we clearly said No. Let that go. But the MEDIUM steak was WELL DONE! So I called the server incharged and let him know. My food was immediately sent in the kitchen. Again, we received our meal half an hour after we ordered. I didn’t bother at first guess we all make mistakes. BUT, I waited for another 20minutes before getting the server’s attention once again as my steak haven’t arrive yet. He then responded that “it will take longer to cook it might arrive between 4-5minutes more”. Getting this response as if it was my fault that it will be sent back and re done. Set a timer after our conversation, but the redone finally arrived after 10 minutes. So that was another half an hour wait time. Which sounds absurd as it should be a priority. The steak was RARE! I will attach a photo. The first mistake was okay but the second was not understandable and truly disappointing! Imagine leaving your customer waiting for an hour for food???? I ended up not eating it and ask for it to be removed. I don’t want to waste another 30minutes waiting for my food which isn’t the cook I ordered. Yes I was offered for a complimentary dessert. But would you eat a dessert with an empty stomach due to an hour waiting??? I was willing to spend $60-80 for my food alone. That wasn’t the service that I deserved, I reckon. The server himself wasn’t even prioritising and following it up until I call his attention. It wasn’t even that busy! I’m a Sous Chef myself. Hence why I understood the first steak was cooked wrong but, RE DONE should be on the fly. It was a thick steak yes, that’s what I was willing to pay for. But it wouldn’t take 30minutes to re cook ending with a RARE steak! We were looking forward with a lovely dinner celebration but I left with an empty stomach and HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Will never be...
