I wanted to like this place as it's close to our new home and very cute, but was turned off it by the service at our visit. If you decide to go, make sure you reserve a table, as we were turned away the first time we tried to visit because they are controlling headcound for covid reasons (which is obviously great/very responsible).
However, the second time we went in, on Sunday afternoon, we were given a table and had a drink, but maybe 15-20 minutes in, when we were about to order a second drink + food, a staff member came to our table and told us it was reserved in a half hour so we needed to be out by then. We said no problem and switched venues but to be honest, I felt really taken aback because I had a view of the entire place from my seat and so I knew that we were the last table to be seated and that he hadn't stopped to ask any other tables to leave. I want to be gracious bc covid times are weird and I can appreciate they are trying to balance their headcounts and sustain their business, but I felt singled out and offended by being asked to leave our table before we were finished. This isn't standard practice at any casual venue I've been to before...
I would suggest that in future, time limits on tables, if they must be had, should be communicated to guests before they are seated. We probably won't be back, at least for a while, due to this...
Read moreReally disappointed with the way the staff conducted themselves during my last visit here. The manager was visibly annoyed at members of our group that had prams w. babies. The prams were out of the way, tucked under the high table, which implies that he cared more about the spend per person rather than general customer satisfaction. Also note, we had 8 adults in our group, all paying for food and drinks (even the mothers in the group were having a drink and eating), so it's not like they had they were going to lose out on the spend per person, but their attitude towards our group definitely made our group feel unwelcomed, so we chose to take our money down the street to Revel Brewing where the staff are far more accommodating and welcoming.
Also want to clarify that the bar staff were great and hospitable. Just the older guy was the issue.. He was running like he was super busy, but was really just frowning and condescendingly scolding anyone that asked him a question. I feel for any staff members that report to him of have to deal with him on a...
Read moreLove this place for an end of day wind down drink. And judging by the crowd so does everyone else.
Focused primarily on beer they have four taps that change regularly this little with another usually dedicated to a cider or ginger beer.
The tapas and good menu provides the perfect addition with both larger burgers and delicious little bites perfect for sharing.
Staff are super friendly and know their products.
And if beer is not your thing they have a reasonable selection of wines and premium spirits.
Definitely give the...
