Look, it's a nice spot... close to the river, decently well maintained, etc. There is such little shade that some more tree canopy coverage would hugely improve. The area itself has so much potential. It would be nice to have a cafe set up here, or some sort of people-attracting aspect. The parking is also atrocious. There is a one-way street down the edge of the grounds, which is supposedly meant to accommodate two cars moving in opposite directions, unlikely. With cars parked down the side closest to the park, there is very little room to pull off to allow for cars to move past. Inspiration could be taken from places like Newfarm Park, where there is ample shade, well developed people-areas, parking, and an overall better atmosphere. Despite the closeness of the Bulimba Riverside Park, I would rather drive to Newfarm Park for an overall better experience.

Fun for the kids, close to the dog park also for the kids to watch the dogs through the fence. Two climbing areas and slides, swings and spinning equipment, rubbery floor in sections to absorb impact from falls. Public toilets and 2 separate BBQ/picnic areas with shaded seating. Edit (Sept 2024) - a few things needing some maintenance I.e. the baby swing locking mechanism is broken and some of the ropes/pillar tops are starting to degrade from exposure to the elements.

Great playground for toddlers and primary school aged kids. Huge slide and a boat or river theme across the equipment as it's located right next to the river. Quite shady and there's covered tables if you are eating or need a break. There's a dog park about 10m away and a lovely walkway along the river if you're trying to get your little people to have a snooze.

A newish large park overlooking the river and nestled between high-end riverside apartments. Pros= *plenty of kids play equipment under shade. *generous flat grassy area suitable for group sports & large gathering.

Cons= *parking is very limited and can be a problem on weekends as there is only onstreet parking amongst the very narrow streets. An extended walk will be needed if you get there late on popular day (eg weekends.) *not many covered areas for tables /benches. Get there early to secure them before it all gone. *grass was overgrown and not maintained when last visited. *watch out for dog poo amongst the grass, as it is popular with dog as there's no dedicated off leash area for...

Great area along the river and close to Bulimba's food district but the park itself is littered with broken toys, footballs and cheap dog balls all of which are hazards. The ground is uneven and with holes dug up around the place and It's also littered with broken bottle glass. It seems the local residents don't value the park very much which is a shame when other areas have to go without one. The local council could also maintain it a little better, I'm not sure how such an expensive area has such poor...
