I love everything Thai and use the dish Red Curry Chicken as my standard when assessing any Thai restaurant...so Thai Legend in Bulimia is down the end near the ferry dock...take away only and standard fare for this style. The RCC scored a six and a half... Flavor wasn't quite up to the level I would have hoped for.
I was eating on the go and asked for a container to serve my rice and chicken into but no cash and only a card to pay for my meal. I was told twenty cents, which I didn't have in any denomination and to my disbelief they wouldn't give me one. I told her I would be reviewing the establishment but obviously being a local guide doesn't have as much clout as I thought (How much clout do you get for twenty cents? I am in no clout as to how much at Thai Legends...none)
It's a nice enough place and the food is ok but that's...
Read moreI ordered here because my usual Thai place doesn't open until 530pm. What a mistake. This is the worst Thai food I've ever had in Australia. I was wondering why I couldn't smell the food on the drive home and discovered it is because it is flavour less and dull. I called ahead to ask if the "basil leaf pork" stir fry option in pack A was Kra Pao Moo, and was falsely told that it was... It's nothing like it! Huge disappointment as it's my favourite Thai dish. The Green chicken curry has pockets of oil and the coconut milk looks curdled... Flavour is 1/10. No idea how they are maintaining their 4.6 star rating but can only assume that once upon a time long long ago this place might not have been so sub par with such horrible food. If you want authentic 10/10 Thai food with real flavour - go to Banana Leaf at East...

Tonight we ordered vegetarian spring rolls, steamed rice, special seafood curry, massaman beef curry and stir-fry crispy chicken in tamarind sauce. The seafood curry tasted nice but the sauce was like water. I didn’t eat any of the massaman curry after trying a piece of tough beef and seeing the watery sauce. The beef is normally so tender it almost falls apart. Likewise I didn’t eat any of the soggy “crispy” skin chicken in tamarind sauce after trying some chicken. It is so disappointing to have all the mains so lacking. I am only giving 2 stars because the spring rolls and steamed...
