Good place to shop.
I love the pho here some of the best viet food in Logan.
I met a lady there that told me the history of pho
Phở was born in Northern Vietnam during the mid-1880s. The dish was heavily influenced by both Chinese and French cooking. Rice noodle and spices were imported from China; the French popularized the eating of red meat. In fact, it is believed that "phở" is derived from "pot au feu" a French soup. Vietnamese cooks blended the Chinese, French and native influences to make a dish that is uniquely Vietnamese.
From North to SouthThe popularity of pho spread southwards starting in 1954 when the country was divided into North and South Vietnam. As the dish moved south, cooks infused it with additional ingredients until it evolved into the version that is commonly served today.
Regional Pho VariationsThe origins of pho as a Northern dish that spread South explains the key differences between the Northern and Southern variations. Northern style pho tends to be simpler and is made with less ingredients. There are fewer cuts of meat and small slices of ginger are laid on top of the soup. The pho is served without bean sprouts or herbs. Instead, it is accompanied by green chilies...
Read moreThis is my second review of this place, this review was originally 5 stars, now it's gone down to 1 star. Had a very unfortunate experience with them, last time I came here which was about a year or two ago I rated their pho as one of the best I've ever had, I have no idea what happened but I went there today and had their pho again and it's one of the worst I've ever had, really hate to be harsh but that's the unfortunate truth. I tried to order some fried rice but I was told they're running low on rice so they couldn't serve me any, ended up ordering the hookien noodles with Mongolian beef, the noodles was 100% store bought packaged noodles and so was the sauce, the quality of the beef was terrible. Ordered the San Choi Bao, that was the only okay tasting item we ordered although portion size was questionable, we got 4 pieces of lettuce with total filling only enough for maybe 2 pieces of lettuce. Quite saddened to see what this place has become.
I noticed they have different staff members, different looking menu and what used to be an open kitchen viewable to the public walking past has now been closed, if that doesn't scream "shady" I don't...
Read moreFood was nice but it was so expensive compared to other Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants, $90 for 3 ppl. Was the first time my family and I ate there and the staff seemed very unbothered for anything. I really think I got food poisoning/allergic reaction. I’m not allergic to anything nor did I have anything new, but after 6 hours I had massive stomach pain that lasted half an hour, completely random. My mother said it was probably from the soft shell crab because it wasn’t fresh. Which I find is true. Then all of a sudden my whole body started getting itchy, my face started swelling up with red lumps, I had to go to the doctor quickly at 10pm bc I’ve never had an allergic reaction before and I wanted to do something before things got worse. I’m not allergic to anything that I know of. This was all at night time and I got a antihistamine shot and since then, I haven’t been feeling well, I’ve been getting dizzy, it’s been 3 days ever since. Upset over the inconvenience of everything that’s happened all from a meal at this place. Really expensive too and service was...
