Dangerfield - Garden City — Local services in Brisbane City

I understand that everyone has bad days. But I received possibly the worst shopping experience at Dangerfield Mount Gravatt today and truly believe if anyone else enjoys the brand then they need to avoid this store and stick to online or make the drive to another store. My partner and I walked in to an empty store with 3 staff members on. We’re not greeted or acknowledged at any point. We began to browse for a few minutes and another customer entered, was not acknowledged but seeked out a sales assistant, Asking if they had a particular item. Sales person stood with his arms crossed and simply said no, offering no follow up at all. We thought it was a little odd that he was so cold and abrupt but kept browsing. I had found some dresses and a bag that I liked, sale assistant approached with a top and she stood beside me silently for a few second, I looked up at her and she let out an exasperated sigh that I was in her way of putting back the top and went back behind the counter and began gossiping with the other female sales assistant while looking at my partner and I. I can understand not being spoken to on some level but to be treated like a nuisance as we are quietly browsing with the intention on purchasing multiple items seems wildly unfair. I absolutely hate clothes shopping and was dreading searching for a dress for the party I was invited to. I went to Garden City for the variety and saw some cool stuff at the front of the Dangerfield store so I went in. I was immediately greeted by Maddy and told her it was my first time in the store. During our chat she learned that I love snakes and her and Charlie enthusiastically found every item in the store with snakes on it. Lol. I tried on so many cool things and walked out with a funky outfit that I adore and a huge grin on my face. I have never ever had so much fun trying on clothes in my life! 20% off “selected lines” only sale, misleading and not clear and seemed to be just a gimmick to get people through the doors. This sale promotion was advertised all over the store yet nothing appeared to fall in the selected lines only category. Bought my daughter something from a rack with at least 3x 20% off adverts on it but when we took it to the counter we were told it wasn’t in the sale and it’s only selected lines, when asked how would you know if it’s a selected line as we saw nothing the lady just apologised as she couldn’t give an answer or show anything that was...
