The Village Upper Mount Gravatt — Local services in Brisbane City

I have met friends here 3 times now. Great little place with a Coles, Coffee Club and some different shops that you don't normally see eg Donut Ma. BUT BEWARE! At the entrance there's a huge sign saying 3 hr parking but I was fined for parking in a 1 hr spot, on my 3rd visit in a year. The 1hr signs are smaller than the usual parking signs, situated on the building girders and above the eye level of someone 5ft tall. I actually thought, when I searched for them after the ticket, that they were just advertising that the car park was a Secure Parking Car Park. I will still go there but I am going to have to search for the 3hr parking. Since writing this I can report that as I had evidence I had stayed/shopped there Secure Parking waived my parking ticket. So grateful at the expensive end...

When did a Shephard’s pie become just under eight dollars? For crying out loud, it’s a pie. I was actually only short $.60. I had forgotten my wallet at home so I had to go to an ATM to withdraw more money closest ATM that I can access with my phone was Garden City so it was very annoying. Especially when you’re a local and they’ve seen you many times before I find it quite disheartening that there is no leniency at all these days, the atmosphere is dull probably because Coles is next door, and it makes one think you spend an extra two more dollars you can go get yourself a 6 pack of four & twenty pies. Please put more clear signage that indicates how long you can park in each car park. It is so confusing. The cleaner had to point out the tiny sign that says 1hr parking to me. However, there is a bigger 3 hr parking sign in the same area which apparently means only downstairs but isn't clear at all, as the arrow does not point downstairs but to the side!! I received a fine today and had no idea about the 1hr rule because of the poor signage. Really disappointed as I have been going to these shops for years and have been unaware.
