You walk into Pizza Rella in Annerley and immediately feel it—that smell. The holy trinity of dough, cheese, and wood-fired dreams. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t muck around with trends or sourdough nonsense. This is real pizza. The kind your nonna would slap you for not finishing.

I ordered the Aussie pizza, and sweet merciful Christ—it was a revelation. Cheese, bacon, and egg—a breakfast crime turned culinary masterpiece. The cheese stretched like a Fellini film, the bacon was crisp but not burnt, and the egg was perfectly runny, oozing through the molten mix like liquid gold. One bite and I was back in Cobram, where the wogs first carved pizza greatness into Australia’s soil with sauce-stained fingers and hearts full of pride.

This wasn’t just pizza—it was nostalgia on a crust, a working-class anthem of flavour that makes every other “gourmet” pizza shop look like a sad vegan poetry slam.

Very disappointed in the whole experience. I did the order online for my father to collect. We had ordered & paid for a 2 pizza meal deal with 1x Supreme with anchovies & 1 x Vegetarian with anchovies with a garlic bread & Pepsi max plus 1x 4 Seasons with anchovies & an extra garlic bread.

When my father arrived to collect the order, they gave him a Hawaiian & a Ham & Cheese pizza & told him it hadn’t been paid for. My father called me to clarify & I stated I had paid for it. The lady at Pizza Rella spoke to me & asked what my order was & I confirmed the name the order was under, at this point she found the order & advised my father it wasn’t ready yet & would be another 5-10mins.

When the order was brought home, we were given the correct pizzas however the 4 Seasons did not have anchovies on it & we received 1 garlic bread & 2 Pepsi max.

I would probably never order here again. The food was ok but wasn’t worth the money. I expected for the price of $31.50 each pizza, that it would have more toppings & it tasted slightly...

What an amazing place! A true gem in the world of pizzerias. The pizza is simply perfect, combining great flavour, top-quality ingredients, and excellent value for money. The pizzaiolo and the attendant are fantastic at what they do – super friendly, quick, and attentive. This is my third time at this place in less than a month, and the service is unique. Every time I come back, I’m even more impressed by the care and dedication that goes into every dish.

I can’t wait to try more items on the menu, like the savoury chicken pizza and the banana with Nutella pizza. Without a doubt, I see a bright future for this spot, and I hope more customers are lucky enough to discover it! Highly recommend it!
