I have been to this place too many times to count while the food is good, the girl who worked at the counter has the worst customer service you can ever meet. She is always cold, and rude, never smiles like a freaking machine. But I can tolerate that because I really do not care much about customer service if I am not overly insulted. But yesterday was really a straw on the camel back. We bought food that is a total of $48 and my 5 y o daughter was really hungry and she really wanted a blain bread (banh mi) with nothing in it since that is her favourite. I asked if I could buy one blain bread and the girl said No, they don't sell the blain one, no matter what I tried to convince them even offer to pay it more than normal price. At one point I was literally begging her to sell since my daughter was complaining loudly how hungry she was and she just wanted 1 bread. But the answer was still no. I am Vietnamese and all the Vietnamese banh mi shop will always sell us the blain bread so it is not even a strange practise or anything). And honestly selling one bread to a hungry 5 y o is not gonna harm their business in anyway and only makes customers more loyal to them. They have a good location and they will always sell a lot of food but honestly that girl at the counter just really made a lot more people turned off. She has no sympathy or compassion and simply completely unadequate and not suitable to do any customer service. Most of all the negative comments here are about how rude and horrible that girl is. If the owner (or maybe she is the owner) read this comment, you should re-train your staff in hospitability and customer service. That girl's rudeness is unacceptable. I will definitely not come back again. Also they missed an item on my order as well. Edit: The lady is not nice, she has the coldest face to have for customer service and many comments in the review clearly states that she is rude in many occasions. Your defense of her action is laughable, you need to train her better for customer services. I am doing business as well and I know exactly how a staff needs to behave towards customers. If you act unkindly towards other people, one day someone else will act unkindly towards you. Refusing to feed a child who was hungry and parents who are willing to pay is extremely unkind and strangest thing ever. You dare to defend her actions which means you are willing to ignore to help...

They have popular menu but not so popular items is not fresh at all. All I Have purchased the Spinach and Cheese pastry and as soon as I had first bite it smell so bad and the chasse tasted Foul. . I rang them straight away to remover it from the self may be its gone bad due to heat since the location of their shop .They have lot of sun on their front counter , I wasn't seeking any replacement or refund purely genuine feedback to help .

The comment below shows that they don't care about customer what if one goes away they have enough customers to keep them going .

Most of all the negative comments here are about how rude and horrible customer skills are , you should re-train your staff in hospitability and customer service.

RE- Your comment that I was rude , why you got me to write my concern on a piece of paper if I have been rude , you have assured me that you will talk to your supplier , the owner comment below made me so angry that I have to edit my comment and tell the whole story . I do have the proof of my purchase and I wasn't rude at all . don't try to change the scenario . I would have remove my review if you genuinely apologetic and would have said that they wont serve the pastry to anyone else .

I have looked at all your response on negative review and its proved you not taking constructive feedback well.

Get some training for yourself and...

I ordered a salad, a beef pho, 2 banh mi, a rice paper roll and a coffee for three of us to share, so I asked for 1 extra pair of chopsticks (which may cost like 20cents?)the lady rolled her eyes at me as if I was taking some great advantage and said NO. They only have enough chopsticks for the day( don’t know exactly what that means, she knows how many servings she would sell for the day???) I work very close to Buranda village 3-4 times a week, have my lunch there almost every time when I work in the area. At the end of the day, one pair of disposable chopsticks is too much to ask for. Very disappointed that the Banh mi today came in soggy bread too, the herbs given for the pho isn’t fresh.

Had a couple of recommendations towards this place so decided to check it out. Got Bahn Mi with pork and Noodle Salad with crispy pork belly. Bahn Mi I enjoyed much more than expected. It would be nice if there was a bit more meat inside, but the taste was good. Noodle salad, while the pork belly was really good and properly crunchy, there was a strange smell coming from the bowl that was turning off a bit. All the veggies looked and tasted fresh though! The lady at the counter was very friendly and provided much needed advice. No complaints here. While I wouldn't detour because of this place, it could be a perfect lunch place if you work nearby. Best of luck!

Nothing... Nothing can compare to my beloved Lim's Hot Bread in Sydney.... But this banh mi was still lovely and did its best to satisfy my banh mi craving. The shrimp and pork rolls were also good although I wish there were more peanuts to crunch on in the peanut sauce. Twas a good deal. Banh mi wasn't jam-packed to the brim with fillings like certain beloved banh mis I have had in the past but it'll pass. Super fast service. Absolutely efficient staff. Not a bad experience. Decent prices too. One banh mi and 2 decent sized shrimp and pork rolls were around 12 ish aud. Pretty filling.
