I arrived and order just before a large group (thank god I thought) so I ordered a smoothie and big breakfast. I then sat down and took a phone call, noticing that the large groups were getting their drinks brought out to them - initially just coffees so I thought as mine was a smoothie it may take slightly longer, it then hit the 20 minute mark and I had been offered no water on my table or received my drink. I interrupted my call and went up to enquire, the guy shouted back asking where the smoothie was and the e girl said just come. He did briefly apologise. I sat back down but to my horror saw a smoothie come out to the large group.
My breakfast was then brought out at around 25 minutes (before my smoothie) so I mentioned again to the girl I had ordered my smoothie. ‘It’s just coming’ she said. Now I’m not being funny but I don’t want a cooked breakfast and smoothie at the same time. I wanted my smoothie about 10 minutes before my food. Anyway the smoothie then came out 2-5 mins later and sat there. At no point was I offered water, no one checked how the food was and when I finished the plate wasn’t cleared (attracting flies) even though staff had passed by approximately 4 times. Now I understand they had a big group, likely spending more than a solo eater, but I will not return as they have shown where their values lie. I felt invisible and like I was ripped off of $35.
The food was tasty and well presented - only things to note on big breakfast was the toast had been buttered (I prefer none) and sausages tasted slightly undercooked, otherwise lovely.
Sorry to say this as I’m sure they are otherwise fine but my experience was unfortunately not...

We visited La Familia Espresso Bar & Patisserie today for brunch to celebrate my mother's 91st birthday, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and polite, making us feel truly welcome. Our coffee and meals were served promptly, and everything was absolutely delicious.
What made the visit even more special was the kindness of a wonderful stranger who, upon overhearing us celebrating my mother’s birthday, generously paid for her breakfast without us even realising it. Such acts of kindness remind us of the amazing people in this world! As if that wasn’t enough, the staff also surprised my mother with a beautiful citrus tart, which left her completely overwhelmed with joy.
Not only was the coffee rich and flavourful, but the meals were fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you're looking for a place where exceptional service meets great food and heartfelt hospitality, La Familia Espresso Bar & Patisserie is a must-visit.
We highly recommend giving them a try—you won’t be...

Mark and Amelia, the owners, have created more than just a cafe; they’ve built a sanctuary. Mark, the resident roastmaster, takes pride in crafting specialty coffee, while the pastry selection - rich, flaky, and indulgent - adds a touch of decadence. Together, they’ve made a community hub that feels as warm as the coffee they pour.
I ordered a turkey and brie toasted sandwich, a pain au chocolat, and a coffee - all for about $23. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, the chocolate croissant was buttery perfection, and the sandwich was soft yet crisp in all the right places, with perfectly balanced fillings.
Pet lovers, take note: this place is dog-friendly, right down to the puppicino—a whipped cream treat for your furry companion.
If you’re local, you’re probably already a regular. If you’re new to the area or just passing through Stafford, stop by. It’s not just a cafe; it’s a little pocket of calm in a busy world, and it’s worth...
