They said the cake was $70 and I made the 50% deposit ($35) so they were supposed to charge only $35 on the pickup day. No. THEY CHARGED $55 on the pickup spot. The owner resolved the problem in a short time. However, the communication on online platforms (Instagram) is poor. I sent them a screenshot of the deposit and was left on seen instead of receiving an order confirmation. I had to explicitly ask the page the next day after hearing nothing. Then, closer to the pick-up date, I received no reminder or update. So once again, I had to ask them what time to pick the cake up, and they left me on "seen" and replied ON THE PICK-UP DATE. Really great presentation. One of the coffees were incredible the other was a little burnt and bitter however the good one made up for it. A nice amount of buttery smoothness, avoiding any dryness without tasting doughey.
Not overly dense, and not overly fluff, which so often just ends up getting compressed into a hard thin layer you have to tear at.
No teeth ripping here, rather a great balance between buttery smoothness, crispiness and chewiness.
The lack of layered textures is something I feel many pattiserie's miss, making their multiple layers and high price meaningless.
And all without making you sick, or tasting obviously sugary.
