I was incredibly peckish and wanted a quick hot meal to get me through my busy day ahead. I pulled up at this cute little restaurant in Ascot. I inquired about dairy free options where the staff scampered around checking ingredients with a smile. I decided on the stir-fried chicken noodles and a welch grape soft drink. And what a perfect choice. The chicken pieces were very big , and I fumbled with my chopsticks to hold them. The noodles were al dente and the sauce scrumptious. I only chose a few vegetables because I needed a protein boost to last me through until dinner. I finished the very big serving with a content smile on my face. Bravo Sushi Kai. You satisfied my hunger to launch my day.

I've frequented this place several times, despite living miles away, because the food is just that good! My husband and I both enjoyed the nigiri; the salmon was especially fresh and flavorful. Their special rolls, including the Yummy, Dragon, and Tiger rolls, have all been fantastic in taste and quality. The staff provides exceptional service, always greeting guests warmly and ensuring polite and attentive service. Highly recommended!

I recently dined at Sushi Kai, a Japanese gem. The sushi was fresh, and the Tiger, one of the rolls, was delightful. Attentive service, reasonable prices, and an authentic ambiance make it a must-visit for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts.

This is a Japanese restaurant operated by Koreans. For lunch, I had karaage chicken bento and two sushi rolls. The food portion of the bento was good, but the miso soup that came with the bento set was too diluted; it almost tasted more like water. Additionally, no tap water was served until requested, and the staff (in the kitchen) seemed somewhat unpleasant when asked for water. No greeting at all when exiting the restaurant which is actually not a surprise as they are more interested in pleasing white customer than other races (typical Koreans). Overall, it is an okay restaurant with a 4-star rating for food portion, taste, and dining environment, and 1 star for experience/staff attitude (not the girl at the counter, she was polite and friendly), culminating in an overall rating of 2-stars.

Plus, it’s a bit of rude the kitchen staff is scolding the girl at the counter that all customers can hear, plus the lady at the kitchen kept complaining in Korean which ruined the good atmosphere in the restaurant.

I always suspect any restaurant been rated as 5 star, especially a sushi place running by none-Japanese. My visit today provided this place is not as good, and I have no intention to...
