I am tired of putting up with bad service only to walk away feeling deflated and a lunch date with my wife feeling like a negative experience. Today we finally got to dine at this place after we had been looking forward to visit for some time as a local, we visited Tapworks for lunch and was looking forward to our choices from the menu. I ordered my usual favourites with no "dietary requirement changes" where as my wife who has serious allergies to tomato and dairy, ordered the Steak Sandwich without cheese and without tomato. My meal arrived very fast and I started to pick as we waited for my partners meal. As the waitress arrived my wife noticed there was what looked like a tomato based sauce on the sandwich, there was no cheese as requested. We enquired was it in fact tomato based sauce as it didn't say so on the menu, it stated it was a plum onion relish. The waitress seemed to be inconvenienced by my wife asking if it was as she has a severe allergy, but she took it away for replacement. Only to return 10mins later with with a replacement which now also had cheese. Immediately my wife told the waitress, "im really sorry, I asked for no cheese" the waitress sighed and took the plate only to return 5 mins later with the cheese scraped off, but inedible to a person who is allergic to dairy. (As pictured) no apology, no sorry for the mix up, not a word as it was put on the table. Where has proper hospitality gone? My wife and I ended up just leaving without finishing our meals, no offer to refund, or again an offer of an apology. We will never return to a bar where we are an inconvenience to request a customised product to suit a person with allergies. I know that it is sometimes an inconvenience or a pain to create a custom dish for customers like my partner, but don't offer them if you begrudge delivering something someone has ordered. We don't get the opportunity to get out just the two of us with kids and a hectic life, so to get out and have this experience was so disappointing. We won't be back...

We decided to start our night out at this establishment only to be treated so appallingly that it ruined the rest of our night.  We complained about a badly made cocktail, made with lemon juice instead of apple juice because they had run out????which made it undrinkable. We asked for a replacement.  We saw all the staff tasting this cocktail and then the girl that made it came over and rudely told us that we will need to pay for a replacement cocktail.  We were all shocked and said no we wouldn't be. She then proceeded to argue with us about the badly made cocktail she had made.  We requested to speak with the manager.  After a while of having to put up with this surly and arrogant girl, the manager decided to come out.  Instead of defusing the complaint he escalated it and stood there while our food had been delivered and was cold on our table and continued to argue with us about it.  We were unable to sit and enjoy any of this food together and were all sick to our stomachs at the way we had just been treated.   The food was all over cooked as well. We will never be back here and will warn others about your poor customer service. This should...

Disgusting zero stars if I could.

Give this joint a wide berth.

I never eat Macca's but you would get better value from a small cheeseburger meal and more chips than you get with their steak burger meal which had a chewwy grissley thing peice of not even sure it was steak. The cheese was the plastic variety, the bun wasn't even toasted and was the blandest thing I have ever eaten.

I've had better steak sangas at a local footy club on a Sat that they cook on a BBQ

The beef nachoes were a pile of dry nacho chips 2/3 of the bowl with more sour cream than the dried up beef mince they slapped on top of the nacho chips. For the amount of time it took to get the dish out you would think they could do a lot better for the $24 charged

The guacamole wasn't even fresh it looked like they went to Woolies and squeezed it out of a tube the dark green colour was so processed you can tell it came from a tube or jar.

GYGs do nachos that are half the price and 10 times the value.

It's like the meals are microwaved and thrown under a griller to finish them absolutely no love in the food that comes out of this...

Funny how an obvious staff member tells someone to “get a life” in their response to a review, when a frequent customer waits until there are no other customers at the bar and quietly goes up to the bar to give feedback and query the quantity of a $10 half bowl of chips. I think a few people would be upset to get the 1/2 bowl of chips pictured here. Normally love Tapworks, just had a bad experience here today with the qty of chips and cleanliness of the tables. Sometimes it’s better to just take a review (or feedback) on board and try to improve things for your paying customers. The explanation for the chips was heard and nothing more was said. Why take the time during work to pretend to be another reviewing customer, just to insult a regular customer who is giving feedback? It just takes a few tables being cleaned (and maybe smaller bowls to give the impression that a $10 bowl of chips is a full bowl of chips) to make a better experience for your customers. Beer selection is great.
