We love Cafe 63 for so many reasons but mostly because of it’s location and opening times. They are open 24/7!
We have been to several Cafe 63 sites over the years but the Chermside branch is undoubtedly their best store in north Brisbane. It’s leaps and bounds ahead of the other branches that are within a 20km from Chermside.
You simply can’t compare. The staff at the Chermside branch pay attention to detail are hard working and their service is consistently high. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Eunice, the store manager is excellent in her role and takes a lot of price in displaying an excellent work ethic herself and her focus on premium customer service seems to be contagious.
We have always felt welcomed and well received when we have arrived at Cafe 63, regardless of the time. I have been there at all hours of the day and night and the food quality has been consistent every time.
Cafe 63 offers a complementary bottle of water with every coffee or juice order which is great value.
They also have a great loyalty card system which I highly recommend. Expect cues most days during their busy times because it’s such a very popular venue.
Their menu is extensive and offered 23 hours a day.
On public holidays the Chermside branch does not charge a surcharge either on their meals or drinks which is nice to know and an added bonus.
I have written reviews about some of the other Cafe 63 branches and explained why they are sub-par but this branch is definitely one of their flagship stores and even when they are busy their service is usually pretty good.
The staff are cheerful and keen to help and add value.
Some items on the menu are less value for money (e.g. some breakfast meals) but other meals are quite large in portion size so be sure to ask waiters if you are unsure about menu choice. Their pasta portions are usually quite generous.
They also have a flexible menu where you can compile your own plate of extra ingredients if you have a very limited diet. E.g. If you are on a Keto Diet you can order smoked salmon and avo or even add bacon or eggs and they will make the custom order for you.
The cafe is a great asset to our area because so few restaurants are open 24 hours a day and this is not a bar or place where you expect to see people who have been drinking too much and are drunk, even at 2am.
It’s a good all rounder so I’m giving it a 5 star. What it lacks in sophistication in terms of more “fancy” meals it makes up for in customer service, flexibility and...
Read moreI had such a horrible experience having lunch here recently.
Experience: it started horrible…, my partner went to a staff to asked for a menu, before he says a word, the staff started with ‘what do you need’ with a really uncomfortable tone towards him. After got the menu, we raised our hands to order, and many staff members walked around the cafe, but no one noticed us. We were so hungry that we went to the front counter to order, only to be told to go back to our seats and wait. After that, when I got my food, I didn't have any cutlery to use. Therefore, I kindly asked a staff member, "Can I please have some cutlery?" She then looked at my partner's cutlery and asked if it was clean. That was for my partner, and because he had ordered a wrap, she told him to give me the cutlery instead. My partner was too stunned by her attitude and didn't want to argue, but just because he ordered a wrap doesn't mean he couldn't use cutlery. She walked away after that, leaving us feeling uncomfortable. We ended up sharing the cutlery because the wraps kept opening up. Imagine two people sharing a knife, fork, and one napkin in a restaurant! And guess what happened? I was eating, with food on my hand, when she came to our table to clean and asked for my plate. Hello, I'm still eating! Just because I had one bite left doesn't mean I was finished with my food.
Food: Not so great, but not bad either. It would be better with some tartar sauce.
(And don’t comeback to me saying because i ordered fish and chips, i also don’t need cutlery)
After all, a poor experience from a big cafe chain in Australia, we came to eat, and we paid to eat, not like we’re robbing from your kitchen. If you have a bad day, hide it somewhere else, don’t throw it around on...

On the 22nd Dec I made a booking for a Christmas catch up Lunch with friends Christmas Day 3pax @12.30. You confirmed my booking straight away by email. At 9.30am on the 25th of December you sent a text reminding me of my booking at 12.30 on the 25th of December. On the 26th I called the contact number on your website only to be told by the operator David that he could not put me through to your Chermside store as he did not know the phone number and the only way I could contact the store was by the email contact form via the website.
