Visited to catch up with a girlfriend for coffee. Of course the usual Coffee Club menu was their offering an extensive range of breakfast and lunch style dishes. Currently they are also offering cold lattes which are served in high glasses with loads of ice. (Not a lot of liquid to drink but you can chew on the melted ice if that is your thing). We decided to share a big breakfast as this was 10.15am and we are small ladies. Despite the current up grades to DFO the cafe was fairly full with older clients and a group from the local fitness club. The area was clean. Some of the chairs are very uncomfortable and don't allow you to sit up to eat. Our breakfast arrived without the two plates to eat from that my friend requested when she ordered and which was oked at the time. When she requested 2 plates politely from the waitress there was no response but she returned with one plate. My friend requested a second plate which was meet with an eye roll from the waitresses! My friend was clearly taken back at the rude response that was directed at her to the extent she felt it necessary to apologise to me for the disruption!!! Appaling ! If one can't serve politely in the service hospitality industry don't work there! The second plate was delivered. The breakfast was all presented and nicely cooked, certainly plenty to eat for $23. Two eggs, mushroom, spinach, sour dough toast , 3 small chipolata sausages, a hash brown, and tiny pot of baked beans and plenty of crispy bacon. (see my photo). Unfortunately we sat with empty plates for well over an hour despite staff clearing other tables. We were ignored and still had our table number uncollected. That didn't bother us but seemed a clear message of being ignored... no follow up if there was more food or drinks to come. I ordered coffees to finish which were fine. Pity really good food is spoilt by staff and service problems. Could have been a five...
Read moreSitting here at the coffee club and a stupid looking boy woth a mullet is a waiter here.. my husband ordered the big breakfast only for us to realise that there was no hash brown on the plate.. I had the smashed avocado and that was delicious! As I told this kid that we realised there was no hashbrown that came with the breaky he goes to the service window to talk with the kitchen hand and says loud enough that we could hear "the husband realised after he finished that there was no hashbrown.. he probably ate it!" How unprofessional mate.. your part of a business that serves customers and you can't even be serious about earning your money in a business workplace such as the coffee club. Shame on you and shame on your lack of experience in customer service! Learn some manners and learn some proper customer service, you might learn a thing or two! Next time place the fresh plate of hashbrown infront of the customer and not on the dirty plate that YOU'RE supposed to take away! Rating 1 for your...
Read moreI decided to have breakfast before DFO opened, so I went to The Coffee Club at DFO Jindalee. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing due to the rudeness of one of the staff members (the one wearing a brace on her left leg). When I arrived, the table was filthy—there were milk spills and some sticky residue. I politely asked if she could wipe it down, but she ignored the request and just walked past, clearly not interested in helping. When she brought over my coffee, I asked again if she could clean the table. She didn’t say a word—just came back, sprayed the table (I’m pretty sure she sprayed my legs too), and gave me a look with raised eyebrows that felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I usually enjoy visiting The Coffee Club, but after this experience, I won’t be returning to this location. Really...
