This was the first time I ever went here for fish and chips. The man who took my order was very friendly kind and bubbly. The store appears very clean and nice, well displayed of fish and other seafood. I normally have a very sensitive smell problem and I can't stand to go inside a fish shop. However this store didn't have that small problem. They had few decent price specials but mostly I found it expensive than other stores I have been to.
I ordered fish and chips deal, the disappointment ๐ ๐ฎโ๐จ was that it didn't come with sauce and all. It was extra for sauce and I felt that was abit much. In my opinion meals should come with sauce.
Ok you must be wondering why I gave three star๐ right. Well this is mainly based on the food. You see the chips was soaking in oil as if it was thrown in cold oil. The battered fish was very oily gave me headaches this was really a disappointment. The salad was ok. The taste off the fish was blunt and felt like it wasn't fresh ๐ ๐ฉ perhaps it been in the freeze or something ๐ค.
I might think of trying grill sometimes.
My suggestion would be if yous can learn to cook the food more accurately I think yous would nail...
ย ย ย Read moreWow what a find. Our first night in Brisbane from Melbourne we wanted takeaway in the comfort of our hotel room. We walked to The Fishery, only 10 minutes away. The staff were really kind and explained menu options and fish availability. It was a Saturday night and there were about 10 people waiting for their orders and the same number eating at the tables outside, some even with their byo wine ๐ We ordered baked fish, chips and salad. We walked back to our room and opened our pack to find two delicious pieces of fish, perfectly cooked, crisp well salted chips and a salad so fresh of mixed lettuce, cucumber, red onion and small freshly cut tomatoes with a side of vinaigrette dressing. It was all such a wonderful surprise, especially the salad when shops usually have everything pre cut and tasting slightly old. Yum yum! We are here for 5 days so will be going back again, I hope itโs tonight. Thankyou for great service, delicious food, reasonable prices and the accompanied...

We ordered 2 battered snapper and chips with a punnet of tartare sauce at and expensive cost of $50.60. they charged 30.11 for the snapper then a cooking fee of $5 per piece to cook.. The order come out rather quickly, and looked very dirty coloured from aged oil, the snapper have a very thick batter filled with oil, when we cut into the snapper it was still raw in the middle, my partner spoke to the staff and they cooked the snapper further and handed it back. When tasting the fish it was just absolutely disgusting, bad enough that it was only good for the rubbish bin. What a terrible experience here, this was our first and last time here, definitely worth the drive to Sandgate where they care about quality and customer...
