Cosmo Apartment Hotel — Hotel in Brisbane City

The story goes!! I stayed at Cosmo Apartments for a week.

I received a TEXT from the motel whilst I was at the movies with my young grandson.

This is what they said!

Dear Jo, we have had to pack your things up unfortunately as we do ned to get the room cleaned for the guest checking in today. We do have 1 queen room you could possibly move in to if you would like its up to you. Please give us a call or come back to the hotel before we close at 5pm as we have your stuff down in the back office here at reception.

Obviously there had been a mix up with my booking but that wasn’t my issue. 🤔 I would have been MORE than happy to discuss & sort this out.

They did not CALL me to discuss the issue They stuffed my things into bags as tho they did NOT matter! You should see the mess!!!!! Zero care or regard for someone else’s property. I was notified via TEXT I had been kicked out of my room at 3.14pm. No phone call or discussion with me prior. They had all day to speak to me! How dare they go thru my stuff! YUCK 🤢

I cannot tell you JUST how hysterical I was. The service desk girls didn’t give a dam even though I was visibly upset!

Rooms not serviced daily I had to ask for clean towels and more toilet paper.

NEVER EVER again will I be staying here. How dare they treat clients...

My best friend and I stayed here recently (February-March 2021). Our room was placed right near the apartment bin disposal and the outside of the doorway smelled foul. We complained to the staff at the front desk, and requested to be moved. We were told there were no other rooms available, except one. We requested to be transferred to that room and were refused, because "That room had not yet been cleaned, and cannot be cleaned due to lack of house keeping staff." There were hardly any other guests (that we saw) in the apartments during the time that we stayed. The whole building was practically vacant. It is concerning that they are leaving their rooms unattended indefinitely. We understand that COVID has caused disruptions to service, but this was all unacceptable to us.

Although the location is close to the city, and there are coffee shops and restaurants nearby - these apartments would have been quite adequate for the cheap price we paid; were it not for these unforgiveable...

Great location, staff were fine. Room was what you would expect, nothing special. Bathroom was horrible, the shower didn’t have hot water for the first 2 days, seemed to self-correct itself but the pressure was low. Low enough to even question whether it was working. Laundry services were handy but the dryer was not up to standard. No ventilation in the bathroom meant that the dryer made everything warm and stuffy. It took so long to dry even 2 towels. Elevators and common areas were great! The gym and sauna were also a great edition.

We had hoped to use the kitchen more during our stay but there was only a kettle, stove top, toaster and microwave. We couldn't use the stove top because we had no pots and pans.

The air conditioner was fantastic. The TV was fantastic. The beds were really comfy and the linen was clean. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, especially not for longer...
