Top Pastries and Pies — Restaurant in Brisbane City

When our fav bakery in Manly West was closed we asked a few people for recommendations. A couple suggested this one and oh my we were so pleasantly surprised. First the amount of pedestrian traffic seemed a good sign. We bought two pies, plain and a curry. And two vanilla slices. The pastry on the pies was perfect for us . So flakey . I do prefer mince curry but I really enjoyed this one with its steak filling. Not too chunky. Hubby loved his too. The vanilla slices which were individually wrapped in cling wrap, were divine. This is a lovely local bakery which offers a wide range of rice paper rolls and Bahn Mis. They don't look fancy but reasonably priced and open quite late so I can grab a late lunch.

On the Easter long weekend, my friend and I wanted some lunch we can eat sitting near the bay, and she had a craving for rice paper rolls. They were quite fresh and bigger than usual. We enjoyed them so visited them twice within 3 days and wondered why we had never tried them earlier. Delish! Bread. Salad Rolls. Sandwiches Rice Wraps. Spring rolls. Pies sasuage rolls. Normal Alllll good. Very tasty. Lovely service from two lovely ladies.

Favorites. Pork belly roll and Any of their rice Wraps and egg and Lettuce sandwich.

One con. Sometimes too much butter on sandwiches for my liking.
