Good pizza and fast service, so no gripe there. What bothered me in the end was my getting unsolicited phone calls after getting pizza from them. The calls aren't from them though. Let me explain. I feel bloody stupid, but I was tired and didn't give it much thought when she asked for a mobile number. Figured it was to text me when the pizza was ready in case I went for a wander. Then she asked for a name. Still didn't seem like a big deal. Stranger still she asked for the first letter of my last name. If I hadn't been tired I would have asked why she wanted my number. Clearly not to text and call me when the pizza was ready, because even though I was out of sight, she brought it out to me. So yeah, fair warning, this company will try to get your details and sell them. Making money off pizza and customer information is pretty scummy behaviour. We won't be back. Edit: what rubbish excuses. First off, if any of that were true, you'd have called my number when my food was ready. You didn't. You came outside with it when as far as you knew, I could be anywhere in the area exploring as I walked out and out of side of your large windows. I don't know about the legality of it although I'm sure, while scummy it's not illegal, but I do know companies do it all the time. Pretty sure in Australia we don't have a right to keeping certain information. Whatever the case, you absolutely sold that info and I recommend anyone who thinks of eating here not to. You could say no to their scummy request for your information, but if they're willing to sell your information, I doubt they're not willing to mess with your food. I won't be taking anything down. People need to know what to expect. If they don't listen, that's...
Read moreThis is a fantastic local gem :) Tried it out once a couple months ago, and decided to come back for my 18th Birthday dinner. (conveniently, they recently started opening on Tuesdays! thanks guys)
Online ordering is fairly simple, we selected the pick-up option, and the estimated wait time was quite accurate (15min-ish). I've heard some reviews stating the wait can be long - however, it looks like the team are making a big effort to streamline their process + inform customers when there is a wait. It's a small, yet very hardworking team :).
Pizzas themselves are very high quality - one pizza is big enough to share, but I personally recommend getting 2 so you can try different options. Carbonara, Mona Lisa, and Gyro are my favourites. They frequently have new pizzas or seasonal specials, highly reccomend checking these out as well. Pizzas are clearly designed with care and the flavours work well together. The individual ingredients also are fantastic, e.g. slow cooked lamb on gyro, parmesan cheese and pork+fennel sausage on mona lisa are a highlight. They can be a bit expensive, but completely understandable considering the quality of what's delivered. Not comparable to other fast-food options - this is a local business, and I'm happy to pay a higher price to support them and ensure they can stay here long into the future.
Don't forget the side options - the Cheesy garlic log is packed with fresh garlic, and is far beyond average garlic bread.
I'm always happy to come here and support a local business. The team is hardworking, and I've always been met with friendly and enthusiastic service. Great work everyone, I'll...
Read moreFriday night pizza run! 🍕 A word to the wise: if you’re ordering online, put your order in at least 1.5 hours before you want to eat. The “hour wait” shown online is definitely just an estimate—it may not take the full 1.5, but it gives you some wiggle room.
The lovely lady at the front was super friendly, but when I arrived, the younger girl said it’d be “about 10 minutes” more… which stretched out quite a bit longer (and honestly felt like it might have gone even longer if I didn’t look a little antsy). The chef in the back was clearly under the pump, and the girl in the kitchen looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. Totally get it, it was peak chaos o’clock.
Now, the good news: the pizza dough and cheesy bread? Absolutely tasty, with that homemade feel I love from a local family spot. ❤️ BUT… when I opened the boxes, there was a river of oil that had soaked through the base. A little too greasy for me, which dampened the experience.
I love supporting local family businesses and can see the effort here. My tip: either revisit the wait times so they’re realistic, or temporarily pause new orders during the super-busy rush so you’re not over-promising and under-delivering. That way, the quality (and your sanity) stays high.
Would I come back? Yes…because the flavours are there and the heart is there. Just hoping next time the timing and oil balance get a...
