As a couple we love trying new foodie spots in Brisbane but it has become VERY hard to go past Adelita Wine Bar in Wynnum if we’re going out. Adelita has become our go-to spot, and after five visits, I can confidently say it’s nothing short of exceptional every single time. From the cozy yet stylish atmosphere to the incredible attention to detail, Adelita feels like a special little haven right in the best spot in Wynnum.
All of the staff are fantastic, but Chris, the owner, is an absolute standout. His knowledge and passion for food and wine shine through in everything he does, and his personal touch makes every visit feel like more than just a meal. The wine flight is an absolute must - thoughtful but unpretentious, we have loved every drop and it takes the experience from dinner out to a really exciting date night that we look forward to every time.
And then there’s the food. The kitchen nails it on every dish. This is the only place I’ve ever been that can truly improve a fresh natural oyster. The menu changes seasonally, but the wagyu (in all its forms) is always superb, as is the current gnocchi offering. Order the degustation, it’s excellent value and the desserts definitely are not to be skipped. If you’re worried about indulging yourself, you’re in the perfect spot for a gorgeous afternoon or evening walk!
Consistency is so important to making a venue truly great and after five visits, we haven’t had a single moment of disappointment—only consistently wonderful experiences. Adelita is the kind of place you can’t help but recommend to everyone you know. Wynnum is lucky to have a gem like this, and we can’t wait to go back again - and again!
I am a little sad that Adelita no longer offers brunch - we took our kids with us and couldn’t have felt more welcome and looked after. Nothing was too difficult, even with a fussy and uncoordinated toddler. Breakfast was a knockout meal, but I’m very excited to see what the renewed focus on lunch and...

Read moreGot there ahead of booking and seated promptly, Wine list should have been presented with a paramedic. Ludicrously inflated prices, it’s Wynnum not Chiltern Firehouse in London. The view is of a muddy tidal flat not the Eiffel Tower. Then came the menu limited heavy on fish. I had put in the booking I am allergic to seafood waiter asked three times if the allergy needed an epi pen In other words if it comes into contact with seafood you’re not going to die are you? No, but you’ll be cleaning puke for a week Fish vegetables or bread for “small things” so it was bread Then they dropped the balll BIGTIME Ordered the steak VERY well done Came out oozing blood Both my wife’s and my steaks were virtually raw Send back Brought back less than 5 minutes later still mooing COOK IT Came back middle pieces still pink so ate the outside pieces took the rest home to the dogs Tidy serve Asked for feedback Chef is incapable of cooking a steak he needs to go back to where he trained $44 for a tiny piece of steak, half of which couldn’t be eaten Overpriced food and wine, no chicken option, tasteless sauce with the steak Wife’s salad was bland and tasteless Great venue despite the mud flats but way overpriced and shockingly bad food Went home and made dinner…… Table next to us had a seafood dish that made us both hold our nose and almost heave it stunk I’m not a seafood eater but this smelt like boiled kippers it was vile Don’t go here unless you want to pay exorbitant prices for average wine and way below...
