The thin meats were really nice, everything else was quite thick, there were scissors to cut meat but they were so blunt we couldn't cut it or chew through it which was disappointing.
Some of the sides were just purely bone and couldn't be eaten properly. There was a lack of sauces to use with the meat which sucks.
When we got there there was not much service aside from cramming us on this really small table that we couldn't even get out of to go get the food, we weren't told we went and got it ourselves and my back was against the wall and had to sit sideways to be able to get out. My friends chairs were backed against another table so they couldn't get out without those people getting up either.
The worse part of the night though was one of the tables near us had there vent CATCH FIRE and burn down which meant for a minute or two we just had smoke being inhaled and we couldn't get out as this was the middle table blocking us in.
This gave my wife a bad asthma attack and we were getting ready to leave after this as they had no air-conditioning and it was super hot inside the restraunt and after the fire we just wanted to leave. We were cooking the last of the meat as we didn't want to waste either when our grill caught fire, not a big deal it was just fat on the charcoal. One of the staff came over and took the grill off and for some reason WAIVED IT AROUND, flicking hot bits of lard onto my shirt, ruining it. They then came over and for reasons I cannot think of BLEW straight into the hot coals sending hot ash all over me and my friends in addition to the food and I got some in my eye. After this we just bailed out, paid and left. All and all this just ruined what could have been a...
Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic experience at Yido Brisbane! The all-you-can-eat selection was incredible, featuring a variety of premium meats such as wagyu, short ribs, pork belly, and ox tongue, each offering a unique and rich flavor. The wagyu was incredibly tender and juicy, while the short ribs had a deep, smoky taste that became even better with every bite. The pork belly had the perfect balance of fat and meat, and the ox tongue was chewy yet packed with an intense umami flavor, making it a delightful treat. In addition to the outstanding meat selection, the side dishes were equally impressive. The tteokbokki had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness, the assorted Korean pancakes and fried dishes were crispy without being greasy, and the fried chicken was so perfectly golden and crunchy that it felt like it came straight from a specialty chicken restaurant. The ambiance also made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I happened to visit on a rainy day, and eating outside while listening to the rain added such a cozy and peaceful touch to the meal—it was a truly memorable experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. And… I have to mention, the owner is unbelievably handsome and charismatic! With top-quality food, excellent service, and an amazing atmosphere, this place is an absolute must-visit for any meat lover. I can’t wait to go...
Read moreSecond time going there and probably the last. Food is great but service is lacking if you are not the same ethnicity ( not racist just stating a fact) observed a couple wall in and get told they could stay then as they had no booking, then watched a family of 4 come in not 10 minutes later with no booking get seated straight away -no one else had left or turned up on this 10 minutes so same table were vacant - only difference was the families ethnicity. We arrived early and were told we had to wait for our table which we were happy to do as we were early but did notice we got say at a table that had been empty the entire time we sat and waited. Then we were asked to leave 20 minutes before the 90 minutes were up as they "had people to seat". Lastly I think 1 bbq put for 5 people is not enough. As we were cooking all the meat for 5 purple on 1 lot of coals it took a bit and the coals went cool rather quickly and were never teemed for fresh hot ones. So will probably not go back. Oh almost forgot waitress was asking people to leave a review in return for a free can of...
