Superb Food, Excellent Service, Wonderful Ambience and Staff Who Care... On a Hot and Balmy Saturday Evening we stopped in Brunswick Heads for a quick swim while heading south. We decided to stay for an evening meal and walked the streets weighing our options and seeing what appealed to us as Hospitality professionals. The streets and footpaths were alive with throngs of people so we were dubious about our prospects. However having surveyed the well balanced and enticing menu ay Lillo's Pasta Bar we were thrilled when our enquiry about a table without a booking saw us led by the lovely Niamh (with her gentle Dublin accent) to an excellent table. After reviewing the menu we settled upon Salt and Pepper Calamari Salad, and Croquettes of Potato, Prosciutto and Gorgonzola. Both dishes arrived in a timely fashion and were excellent in both their execution and presentation. The Calamari was superbly fried being crisp to the tooth and tender on eating whilst the Croquettes were light and fluffy with a crispy exterior and beautifully balanced flavours throughout. For our Main Courses we both chose Pasta dishes with my Wife opting for the Squid Ink Taglioni with Crab, Confit of Cherry Tomatoes in a Prawn Bisque Sauce, topped with Gremolata. While I chose the Rabbit Ragout with Olives and Herbs. The Squid Ink pasta was velvety and beautifully al dente while the Crab, Prawn Bisque, Confit Tomatoes and Gremolata presented a robust though well balanced raft of flavours which worked perfectly in concert with the pasta and my wife’s Lychee Martini. My Rabbit Tagliatelle was a delicate and subtle range of flavours with the Rabbit bringing its delicate gaminess to the dish perfectly foiled by the saltiness of the olives and the carrots and herbs from the braising of the Rabbit. A masterful dish well considered and brought tom plate by Chef Phillipe and has kitchen brigade. The accompanying Lello’s Negroni worked as a perfect accompaniment with this dish and rounded out our dining experience superbly. We had neither expected that the quality of both food and service would be of this excellent standard and working as we do within the hospitality industry we are fussy and discerning judges when we spend our money on a meal. Jimmy the owner has done a stunning job of building a team of employees who actually care and make a great effort to ensure that a meal Lello’s Park Street Pasta Bar is a wonderful experience for the diners. We congratulate the team and thank them for the care and effort which showed in every aspect of our experience in the wonderful...

In saying that! What can I say about Park Street Homemade Pasta Bar.
This little cafe/restaurant is absolutely amazing in every aspect. From the service which is above standard right through to the amazing truly authentic foods that they serve. I was so impressed after eating a breakfast feast that my wife and I returned for lunch and then for dinner all in the same day.
It is quite evident that the owner/chef is truly passionate about his trade as you can taste his heart and sound in every bite.
My wife and I were truly blown away by this cafe and the owner Maki is a fantastic host and lovely lady.
In closing all I would like to say is that if your in Brunswick Heads or you are planning to visit you really must visit this little piece of paradise.
Above and beyond five star without a doubt.
Thank you...

Entrees were ok. Calamari and polenta chips. We couldn’t finish the chips..
Our mains is where the issues really were. Firstly, mine. I ordered the Pork Sausage Ragu Penne. It came out in a sea of liquid. Water is my guess. The pasta was cheap store bought packet pasta… likely the source of where the water came from? The ragu its self was ok. Although after about 3-4 mouthfuls it became harder to eat as the salt content became overbearing…
My wife ordered the King Prawn Spaghetti… the prawns were overcooked and chewy, and very low quality… the pasta was also store bought and the dish itself was even saltier than mine. Neither of us were able to finish even half of our meals.
A very disappointing evening and not the best way to spend over $160….
Service was...
