Sticky Fingers Pizzeria — Restaurant in Brunswick Heads

Have eaten here in past years and while the service and wait times are always average, the pizzas have been good. BUT NOT THIS TIME Tonight, despite being a Tuesday night and not a public holiday, we were hit with a 15% surcharge and no table service. There was one reservation sign on one table outside. We were then offered table service and plates and water were brought out. After about half an hour, the tables around us, despite having arrived after us, had salads and pizza delivered to their tables. I went in to ask and was told there was no table service but we’d been offered it because they weren’t busy. I was told the other tables had reservations (I know one of the two did not) and that was why they had table service. So they decided to give us half table service… when I asked about our meals, the boy collected the box from on top of the oven where I’m guessing it had been sitting for at least 10 minutes. Our name had not been called so how was one meant to know the pizza was ready. By the time we ate it, it was over cooked and dry and certainly not worth the $30+ we paid. Very disappointing. Had my first takeaway from Sticky Fingers. Thought I’d go for the Crab Pot which boasted prawns, squid, mussels, baby octopus, salmon. I was astounded when opened the box to find a veritably flat, dried out pizza with only a very few prawns identifiable. It certainly had a seafood flavour, but for the price, and the description, it was very, very disappointing. I appreciate that seafood is expensive, so I was prepared to pay the price for a gourmet pizza. That’s not what I got. My friend ordered a Non gourmet pizza, Diana Ross, which was much more acceptable. If Sticky Fingers charge for a Gournmet pizza, that’s what they should deliver. I'm totally in love & awe with their Mediterranean pizza - especially memorable coz I've never had a pizza so stacked with such a plentiful & delicious variety of veges & flavour before! Before I experienced it, I reckoned it was relatively expensive compared to some other places, but after I tried it, I realised & appreciated how it's actually great & satisfying value (quality & quantity)! I've since seen a past Google reviewer criticised sparse toppings on their Mediterranean, & perhaps I can thank that reviewer & SF's response to them, coz it seems possible that might've helped ensure I got a pizza that's definately worth recommending & returning...
