If I could give it less than one star I would. Wasted my time when I informed them at the start that I only had 40 minutes between tours. Said the food would only be 10 minutes. 25 minutes later I went to check on my order and they said it was still a while away. While waiting on my refund they gave me all sorts of excuses that they got busy and it was so unexpected. At lunch time. Seriously. I then had 10 minutes to find somewhere else to eat, order it, receive it, eat it and get back. Way to waste my time. And the refund was in cash, which I currently have no way to carrry. Fantastic example of a tourist spot with a captive audience not relying on returning customers

Edited to respond You really did say it would be a 10 minute wait. If the food was only another 5 minutes away, I would then have only had 5 minutes to eat it and find my bus. Also, when I checked , you didn't say it was only five minutes away, you said it would still be awhile because you were so busy and you weren't sure. You could've said that in the...

Found myself in Cairns after getting off the cruise ship docked in the port looking for a breakfast.

I found it a little strange that walking along the boardwalk, most of the cafes closer to the port were closed given there was a cruise ship in town with 2000+ passengers about to get off the ship.

Blu Marlin Bistro was the first cafe I found that was open so we popped in.

The coffee was good, the big breakfast was great too, I don't usually like mushrooms but they were sauteed quite nicely giving them a nice flavour. The hash browns were some of the nicest I've had too.

Although the sausages with the big breakfast, maybe swap out the Bunnings snags for continental sausages and it would be bang on perfect.

Service is good, we got seated and served quickly with our coffees arriving promptly, the front of house crew are friendly and chatty which is a nice touch - keep up the good work.

I can recommend Blu Marlin Bistro, a short walk down the boardwalk from the cruise ship terminal and the food and coffee...

OMG! The Blu Marlin Bistro is just the bomb! We first purchased a ham and cheese croissant as take out. It was so yummy the next day we went back to dine in and ordered the tomato and ham omelette. So good! The next two days we returned as well. Ordering the Big Blu breakfast. So much yummy food! And lastly ordering the pancake w/berry compote served w/vanilla ice cream. It was to die for. Fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries as a garnish yum yum yum! All the food we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted as great as it looked. The staff were wonderful very welcoming, professional and available for anything you might need or want. If you are looking for a great place to eat breakfast or brunch, you should give the Blu Marlin a try. You won't be disappointed! Oh and by the way . . . BEST...

Good location, so you pay a premium. Our chicken tenders were not tender. Or moist. They were over-cooked, dry and tough, and slightly blackened in places Waitress and supervisor both said that was because kids liked it that way So, we are to believe this is focused on overcooked dry food because some kids like it? Ridiculous explanation. Just cook food properly and employ a chef who will not think it fine to plate this up for clients We asked for a refund which was given without argument Some serious cheffing issues if they are happy to release food of this poor quality though

Located at the terminal. Parking is nearby but is only 3p. Ticket and free depending on your location. It is just beside the cruise check in counter. It appears that they only work until 2pm. I was there a day before and saw they closed during the evening and came back again during the noon and yeah they were open. Ordered some drinks, pulled pork burger and squid. Honestly it is not so bad. Good view where you can enjoy your lunch from the pier. The price is pretty average, it's not cheap, nor expensive. The staff is friendly and polite. Overall it is not bad
