Root Vegetarian — Restaurant in Cairns City

You are always welcomed with a warm smile and the smell of delicious food when you enter Root Vegetarian, it can be hard to pick what you feel like eating some days as everything looks so yummy! It’s comfortable sitting inside or outside in the ally way depending on the weather. My advice is get in early as when you arrive close to closing you will be disappointed with hardly anything to choose from and the food is no longer piping hot. I am grateful for this incredible little locally owned and operated business, I always know where I want to eat in Cairns CBD! It is my favourite, I recommend it to everyone! They have frozen meals & cater for events too! I had a feast for my birthday party last year and was so thankful for the left overs! If you enjoy Asian cuisine and love vegetables go and try their food and decide for yourself if Root Vegetarian is the best vegan...

Despite the name, we were assured this place is fully vegan.

We'd seen reviews for this place and knew we had to come here during our visit to Cairns. So glad we did as everything was great, from the service to the yummy food. Good portions too! I hope they'll get rid of the little takeaway soy bottles (because, you know, plastic) and use little jugs or jars or something, but overall - awesome and well worth a few visits :)

Amazing experience and an all inclusive space where we get to enjoy beautiful taste of Asian classics while our little ones get to eat some healthy salads, rice rolls and even personalised Buddha Bowls made without sauces and oil especially for them, the ladies going beyond all expectations to cater for everyone's needs. We are so grateful for having this beautiful space in Cairns and 100% recommend to anyone looking for a chill Cafe, with amazing plant based foods...
