So disappointing. I was fooled I think by the google reviews, so I booked for my husband’s birthday. The staff were nice but looked at me like I was stupid when I asked if they had any sparkling mineral water. Same when I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium rare. It came out over cooked and my friend’s salmon arrived after we had all finished eating. They tried to pretend the whole time it was a minute away, but I think they just forgot to order it until when it all came out. When I went to pay they asked if I was there to pick up a take away order?? lol… there were only 3 tables… I said no I’m here to pay for our meals. The waitress then says ok you can tap now… I said, are you going to tell me the price first? Anyway, lesson learnt. Don’t book for special events without trying the place out in advance. Oh… I almost forgot… I asked 2 days in advance if they could do a special desert we can put 2 numbered candles in or if I could bring my own cake. They said they would make a special desert as a surprise… and we sure got a big surprise… my friend ordered a crème brûlée and I was expecting the candles to come in the special desert preordered. But, no… our friends cream brûlée came with candles. I mean, it looked stupid as it’s a tiny desert. Very disappointing. And, not cheap. $240 for 3 people and only 1 alcoholic...

We are locals who went there a few years ago when it was under previous management and can say now that the new regime have certainly improved things...It wasn't bad previously but now its much better again...The service staff have always been friendly ,attentive and professional to be fair but where it has kicked up a gear is in the quality of the food . Special shout out to Hoissin ( not sure of the spelling) but by crikey he is a skilled Chef... The menu has some Aussie favourites but is predominantly Asian Fusion with a large variety of dishes to suit any taste. Hoissin never fails to deliver...he obviously uses top quality / fresh ingredients and takes great care and pride in his Menu and the dishes he creates which are always beautifully prepared ,presented and delicious. We've never had anything other than a fantastic meal there yet and its down to Hoissins skill and knowledge. If you want a really nice Asian meal you come here....Hoissin wont...

My family and I spent a week at Mirage Whitsundays this past week. The buffet breakfast at Whisper Restaurant was delicious!!! Every morning we would come down stairs from the resort to enjoy the selection of food.

The service was great! The floor staff are friendly and greet you with a smile every time when entering the restaurant. Some mornings were super busy with guests, but floor staff coordinated with each other, made sure tables were ready to go and food was restocked. Compliments to their incredible work ethic!

The only area for improvement would be to consider building a roof between the buffet section and the restaurant to avoid flooding when raining heavily. We noticed one night and morning that the floor was flooded and slippery, which can be dangerous for staff and guests when working or walking through the restaurant.

All in all we had a wonderful experience and would love to return. Thankyou...
