A fantastic experience! My Girlfriend Rosie and I came for dinner after late night Thursday shopping so the place was very busy. The potential waiting time looked a little off putting at first, however we were quickly seated and served with a smile right away.
This restaurant appealed due to the extensive vegetarian options spread across the menu meaning there were plenty of options for both of us to choose from. For convenience I'll often join Rosie in eating vego, but this time I started with one of the roast duck spring rolls and thankfully so as it was one of the best I've ever had - the perfect mix of flavours and textures served crispy and piping hot along with a rich sauce! Excellent!
Rosie started with some of the veggie steamed buns and pan fried dumplings which were so enjoyable I couldn't leave them to her without pinching a few bites myself! We can be hard to please when it comes to dumplings as the correct texture is hard to attain but we were very impressed with what we were served at Miss Chow's.
After nearly filling up on starters we decided we only needed to share a noodles to finish us off so went with what appeared to just be a simple vegetarian hokkien dish, but it turned out to be yet another highlight cooked to perfection. I can't even quite put my finger on what exactly was so good about a simple, noodles, egg and vegetables dish but it was absolutely on point. Getting the basics so very right is a sign of a smoothly run, well polished establishment I am very happy to recommend. We literally couldn't fault a single aspect of our meal. Considering we were able to fill ourselves up with a few shared dishes of generous size, this was not an expensive night out.
If there were any suggestions we'd add, it would be to increase what was a shortish beer list, however the locally-brewed Black Pale Ale we ordered was indeed very...

Yesterday, after a long working day, I was looking finally for my dinner outside, at Miss Chow's Claremont, relaxing finally a little bit.
When I received the menĂš (at 8.45 PM), the blonde waitress, started to press me every 1 single minute to pick my order, when I asked kindly just 5 MINUTES (and no more) to take my time and choose appetizing food choices, being a considerate foodie. After the third time, she came to my table, I ignored completely her because I was so annoyed and at the same time surprised by her rude behaviour. At that moment, I thought also to leave immediately the restaurant, but I decided to stay there because it was already pretty late to eat in others closer restaurants and I was so hungry.
When I called her, she generally looked irritable and picked up my order so rashly that I couldn't ask her for another bottle of water. I didn't say (or complain) anything about this, but I felt that this situation was pretty nerve-wracking because, despite I can understand if someone had a bad day, is not justified to behave in a such rude way to the clients, in particular, if you work as floor staff.
However, the food ordered was enough tasteful and I appreciated the special promo for the dumplings "buy 1 set, you will get 1 free". In my opinion, the dipping sauce was a little bit below the standard, considering this Asian high dining restaurant.
In general, I would recommend the food, but I'm not interested to come back again because one time has...

This place was very hit and miss. From the second you sit down youâre offered sparkling or still water, we chose still to only find a $9 bottle of water placed on the table. We thought that was quite sneaky and wasnât sure if we would have to pay. The food comes out in such a random order. One starter, then a main, then a rice dish and then finished it off with another starter with no apologies (once we chased it up.
The food was nice but like getting in a taxi, your experience is ruined when the âtripâ is already at $9 eg the water. We finally go to pay and the woman serving did everything within her power to hide the fact they were charging for the $9 water. She reads every item on the bill except for the water, she then prints the receipt, folds it and then staples it to a card so we couldnât see the itemised bill.
You will only get people once with things like this. My recommendation is to stick to your local Chinese or try bam bam boo for half the price and half the wait time. The meal came to $124 for 2 people so as you can imagine the sneaky $9 water charge left a bad taste in your mouth. Not only that, we both left the meal still hungry as the portions are quite small and we are not massive eaters. Only got 3 stars because the interior was nice and the food was nice...
