Went for lunch here yesterday with my teenage children. One had the fish taco with a pineapple salsa and the other had the chicken tacos lunch special with nachos and salsa which he shared with his dad. One taco was substantial enough for a light meal, but was the option to have two or three...

I'm plant based and have auto immune disorder so my dietary requirements are very strict. Eating out can be difficult and many venues treat you like you are being a bother or inconvenience to them. This was most certainly not my experience here. Staff were so warm, friendly, accommodating and understanding and more than happy to adjust my jackfruit taco to fit my needs.

All tacos are fresh made on site, all gluten free, flavours were phenomenal with quality fresh produce. For the quality id say it was good value.

Beautiful environment too being on the wharf over the water.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and Will be back...

Great little shop in the "food court" style end of the Wharf. We enjoyed the Fish taco & the Pork taco 🌮, and some Guac & corn chips. We enjoyed the food as it was very fresh and tasty. Loved the fresh ingredients in both tacos. The corn chips were authentic & handmade, but were "just a little" overcooked, so slightly tough to eat, however still tasted great with the fresh guacamole with salsa in it. I also loved being able to have a glass of wine from the food courts Bar. Be aware the Wharf can get windy, so ladies be aware with your choice of dress 👗🙃😅 and anyone bring a jacket or additional layer if you feel the cold (we visited mid July when night time temperatures were 19°c). We would happily return to Sanchos Taco Bar- they have a great team of staff too, which always makes your experience...

Sanchos Taco Bar at Stokes Hill Wharf is a hidden gem that’s too good not to share.

The owners welcomed me with such warmth and helpfulness, it felt like dining with friends.

Their Laksa Festival specials were a creative and tasty adventure - the Taco de Pollo Laksa on a blue corn tostada was a delightful surprise, and the Barra Prawn Bites with mango salsa and avocado mousse were spot on. The Sangria Mocktail was refreshingly delicious, proving you don’t need booze to enjoy a great drink (I don't know where that came from!).

Great food, great vibe, and great service - definitely a spot to visit if you’re in Darwin.

Reluctantly sharing this because the...

I never bother writing bad reviews and only write positive reviews for people who deserve it. And the team at Sanchos definitely deserve it. I have to take my sombrero off to them. The food is exceptional and you can tell a lot of love and effort goes into each and every meal. I Just moved to Darwin yesterday but I already know I will find it hard to eat anywhere else knowing how good the food is there. After our initial order we had to try more so ordered again and couldn't fault one thing. Also very handy that you can order a beer in the liquor store beside it. Best of luck going forward and see you again very soon. Paddy & Karen
