Mindil Beach Sunset Market Corporate Office — Local services in Darwin City

A great place to enjoy the evening in Darwin. This market is only open on Thursdays & sundays from 4pm to 9pm. There are wide variety of stalls selling everything from different types of foods to paintings/arts etc. We enjoyed some freshly cut tropical jackfruit (mangoes & Jujube fruits were also available) followed by some freshly cooked Thai food. Parking appeared to be pretty tight. Finally it was time to capture the beautiful sunset... and I suppose that's why it's called the...

Mindel is great but a market that has so much commercial stuff that is available in town most of the time is not what i believe a market is about. A bit too comercial and no inovative new ideas. Would be great if stalls that had real home/Aussie/unusual stuff could be encouraged by cheaper stall costs. I reckon activities that are drawcards should be rewarded for their influence and why is there no sign of any charity of the day. There is too much of a money money...

9to5explorer: 5* market, beach, food and people watching! Love visiting the local markets when travelling, and this one is a whole lot of fun! And why wouldn't it be? Lots of stalls, lots of people, lots of noise and lots of great food. Plus the sunset on the beach is the icing on the cake. It’s walkable from the city, and you can pass through the Botanical Gardens on the way....
