After leaving McDonalds because it was too crowded i opted for HJ's and was the only customer in there. I now know why. The place was filthy. Tables, chairs and floors were all disgusting. Not one table clean. I had to ask for a cloth to wipe a table down, but the girl came out and started to clean all the tables. Another girl came out to sweep the floor that was piled up with food and rubbish in some booths. She was told to sweep up under one table that looked like a rubbish tip. It wasn't done. I ordered a baconator whopper meal. The sprite was flat and warm, the fries were drowned in salt and the bacon was undercooked. I felt ill eating that slop while looking at the filthy aurrounds and couldn't finish it, because it was so bad. The service was good and all the girls very friendly, but all that counts for nothing when you sitting in a pig sty eating slop. Even the kitchen and the newspaper i was reading were disgusting. I feel sorry for the lovely blonde girl who was obviously the manager trying to wrangle all these teens, but you gotta do better than that luv, or maybe just give it away. Oooh the baconator was so tasty! Small size but that suits me plenty of meat, juicy with a subtle smoke flavour and lovely crisp lettuce and tomato. 11/10 service friendly . the tables are pretty clean compared to Macca's. But not as pristine as KFC. Plus its quiet no bleeping machines, you can hear the music! Usually it's reasonably quick to get in and out of, but that seems to depend on what you order, I've personally noticed at Breakfast time if ordering a toasted sandwich, every time I have been sent to the waiting bay after receiving my Cappuccino, and when ordering onion rings with a meal this also seems to happen, I've waited between 6 & 11 minutes each time, it is quite frustrating to be honest when it's supposed to be fast food. If certain items can't be done in reasonable time to keep the cars flowing then maybe they shouldn't be on the drive...
