Asian Street Food 味食街 Restaurant — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

I feel bad for writing this review but this is what reviews are for I suppose.

Food: Extremely bad. The dim sims were cold (partially frozen) in the middle. It lacked any form of seasoning. The laksa was horrendous - it was so watery and this weird peanut flavour. The roti canai was too oily and was not served with any dips or curries except for this burnt distasteful sambal. The bihun was fine but one can easily make better ones at home.

Drinks: I had the soy milk. It was so tasteless.

Pricing: If the food was edible, pricing would be great. But it wasnt edible so I dont think it's good value for money.

Service: The waiter spilled laksa in my drink and didnt offer to replace it. He was also so busy playing with his phone so it was hard to get his attention.

As a Malaysian, my heart broke when I was eating this "food". Unfortunately, I cannot recommend ever coming here. Especially with more decent restaurants in such close proximity (eg in...

Food was still amazing. I think it is better than our previous meal there a while ago before they went halal. We ordered their string beans, tofu and sour and spicy beef.

I just missed their delicious roast pork from my previous visit.

The food was not the best, the curry was really bad and the roti canai was not soft as you'd expect from a roti canai. It started to fall apart the moment you try to tuck in.The price was expensive for the quality you get and for the price you pay, you'd expect it to be better. You would be better off eating at Pappa Rich, which is not far off, for the same price range. They serve much better food.

The service was decent, at least the waiters returned the gesture when you smile at them. The night shift manager kept cleaning the table before my wife and kids had finished their food and I thought that was disrespectful.
