My mother is obsessed with this cafe and has been coming here for the past seven years every time she visits Canberra. The portions are enormous. One time I came here for brunch and persevered to finish my entire burger and chips and then I didn't eat again that day, was so full I couldn't sleep at night, and then barely needed to eat breakfast because I was still full. Now I make sure to just eat half the burger and take the other half home because that was basically the worst day of my life. The food is pretty good and although I have some issues with the vegetarian options I have discovered the ways to make them better. The pumpkin feta burger is the best of them and you just need to squish the pattie so it actually fits over the bread and then put the entire side salad onto the burger. Breakfast and lunch are on order but sadly no dinner. Service is brisk and functional, go up the counter and order.
Specials are on the blackboard inside, water is available for each table inside, menus on each table.
Recommend the pumpkin fritters and the Hudson's breakfast...
