INTRA PRVN — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this café, and I must say that the food and coffee are truly exceptional. However, I did encounter an issue with the waitlist process that I believe could be improved.

We were waiting outside for a table, and after 15-20 minutes, two tables became available. Unfortunately, some guests who were passing by seated themselves without waiting to be seated by the staff. While I understand that this was more of an oversight by the customers than the staff, it would have been appreciated if the staff had kindly asked those guests to wait, as we and others had been waiting for some time.

In the end, we decided to leave without having breakfast, which was disappointing given how much we were looking forward to it. Nevertheless, the café's offerings are fantastic, and we would love to see the prawn toast back...

Firstly, Im a huge believer in diversity, and when Intra started hiring neurodiverse and mentally ill people, I thought that this was a wonderful thing.

However, Intra cant just do this without the proper support in place for these people. From a customer point of view, having a hostile staff member insult you over a very minor thing (asking for service after waiting 20mins), escalating and escalating the abuse despite our best efforts to de-escalate, can be frightening. From the employee point of view, Intra is placing these vulnerable people in situations, unsupported, where they might end up doing something catastrophically bad against the customer and for themselves.

The food and coffee were good but the one server dude was not having a great day. I thought it was maybe towards just us because we ordered one food item with two drinks, but he was like that for everyone so I guess that's just how it is 😅

The hot chocolate was like a slightly bitter real cocoa taste, which I really like, but I saw that some people don't like that taste.

The french toast was average, but I didn't really like the unripe banana toppings.
