Asian Noodle House Campbell — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

They have dodgy practices to get more money. They don’t own any mistake that they have make and make you pay for that stuff up. On top, they are rude ladies who straight away raises their voice and start shouting on customer. Two incidents and I cant give them more chance incidents as below

We were a group of 15 people and after all if us paid they said one dish is not yet paid for. Upon checking it came into knowledge that for 15 people where everyone ordered single dish, they made a bill of 16 and made us pay for 16 dishes for 15 people.

Tried to give them another chance, one person’s order was half and other one ordered combo. They didn’t tell which one is what initially and gave order to wrong persons. After that mistake was identified, they said we cant do anything. Cherry on top, they charged both of us for combo and made us pay for the whole combo even for the half meal.

Won’t trust them anymore with...

This ain’t it. Maybe we went on a bad day but the food was not at all up to par with similar restaurants across Canberra (including the other namesake restaurants in the Asian Noodle House brand).

The menu features all the classics you would expect but they are inexpertly thrown together. The Char kway teow, Chow Mein and boat noodles we ordered tasted more or less the same. They were all sour and heavy on the tamarind. Unfortunately the boat noodles had plastic through them too. It happens… but still. They also came with egg noodles rather than rice noodles (as per the menu), a small thing but really feels like low effort and breaks any illusion of authenticity.

Service was fast but a little pushy with the drinks.

All in all very disappointing. I can’t see myself going back or recommending...

Food is good, service is anything but. Oh dear they have cameras in their shop. I wish they could publish how they handle their error. I think when there's a problem, it will show their staff behavior. We had 14 people booking and they ended up charging us 15. When asked why there was one extra, one of the staff would raise her voice adamantly assuming she was right. I had to check with all my friends to make sure no one ordered extra or had one more takeaway. Sure I had to make efforts to check everything for them. Yet they have secure cameras and still no idea of they had serve an extra or not. Food is good but I rather not deal with neanderthals in the future. Will not suggest to have families and friends here again. Otherwise I have to do their job of checking how many...
