To be honest, the food is above average for Vietnamese cuisine for Canberra anyway and I can appreciate the bit of effort they put in. I would know, being of Vietnamese descent.

However, after my partner had a few bites of her pho, she noticed a long hair in the bowl. Now, we all make mistakes and not everything at a restaurant or any workplace can run perfectly smooth every time, but when things go wrong like this, it is the opportune time to show what the restaurant can do for customer service.

The waiting staff dealt with the situation well and allowed us to order a different replacement meal. However, the head waiter came out letting us know that the manager has a policy that if we were to order a different meal, they would charge us, and that in order to be free it would have to be the same meal. The look of disbelief and utter dismay fell on our entire table upon hearing this news. My partner lost a bit of her appetite and did not want to have the same meal, and who's to say they won't just take the hair out and reserve the same bowl.

This really does show what type of restaurant they are running - a shameful, money-grubbing one with no self-respect for even the manager to come out, show her face and say sorry. As I said, these moments can be a time to shine for restaurants, so it is disappointing that our first visit here will also be our last. So keep your hairy pho and the few dollars you save and as a tip, have a few poor...

If you compare them with Sydney’s Vietnamese restaurants, you will be disappointed. 😬 Their pho broth was bland and the rice noodles were rough not silky. 😕

The grilled pork in Grilled Pork with Clear Rice Noodles was dry and hard. The clear rice noodles were stuck together made it very difficult to eat. 😒 The only positive thing about that dish is serving was big. The grilled pork covered the whole bowl but at the end of the day quality over quantity. 😏

We ordered Stuffed Boneless Chicken Wing for entree. You only get 1 piece for $10. The stuffing was dry, same problem with the grilled pork. The stuffed chicken wing came with a Thai sweet chilli sauce was very unauthentic, fish sauce would be more appropriate. 🤨

Food price was on a high side. They charge $20 for an ordinary bowl of noodle. It seems they are running a family business as a little boy took our order without any smile on his face. He was probably thinking why all his friends were playing outside on a Saturday but he got stuck in his parents’ shop serving customers. The younger teenage girl brought out the food was more polite with a...

I am a regular customer and everything here is perfect until a new young waiter appears. He wasn't there to serve, he was there for the fashion shows, fluent English, arrogant attitude, sloth-like speed of service. When he is happy, he will serve you "gracefully", and when he is not happy, he will sit in a chair in the restaurant and look arrogantly at each guest. If you call to order, sorry, he will tell you that the restaurant is so busy at 2 pm on workday , he is serving other customers, and put you on hold for 15 minutes, when you have no choice but to hang up, call back in case he accidentally forgot you, he will just hang up. I've never been so disappointed....

This seafood laksa is stacked with prawns, slices of fish, and cut calamari, tofu pieces, bean sprouts and thin rice noodles. It's soup is fine, however it lacks the full flavour of a rich laksa, it also lacks the punch of a good chilli hit. There's chilli and hoisin sauces on the table. The laksa, as do the pho, come with a bowl of extra sprouts, herbs, mint, basil and a wedge of lemon. The vietnamese pancake is a large flavoursome delight with prawns and sprouts nestled in its folds. It's served with a bowl of lettuce leaves and fresh mints. Pho is worth a visit. Service is friendly and attentive, And it's in the heart of Dickson.

Feeling like a comforting Vietnamese meal but found that our favourite place was closed due to the lunar new year. But, we discovered a very tasty substitute. The grilled chicken and spring roll bun (vermicelli salad) was flavoursome and perfect for a hot evening. The Mr very much enjoyed his go-to grilled pork chop and rice with fried egg (it's how he compares Vietnamese restaurants) and gave it a solid thumbs up. Miss15's empty bowl is evidence that her beef pho was also a thumbs up.

Fresh, quick and delicious. We stopped in on the way from Thredbo to Sydney. Staff are so helpful and efficient, we got everything so quickly. I really love the decor, particularly the coin koi fish art on the wall. When the food came it was delicious and I inhaled it all, so unfortunately no photos. Something different was the rare beef salad, which we enjoyed. It opened before 5pm as well so it was perfect for my kids having an early dinner. Will be back again
