PAFA organized a memorable Australia Day Dinner for the community. Although the initial seating was limited to 120, due to a dozen or more last-minute attendees, the venue graciously accommodated around 150 people, including kids.
The Taj Agra team provided exceptional service, remaining patient and professional throughout the event. They even went beyond our expectations by offering free hot fresh patatoo chips for the kids and adding two extra dishes—Chatt Papri and Curry Pakora—at no additional cost. They also served complimentary tea after sweets.
The entrée and dinner were served on time and hot, which is remarkable given the large crowd. There was a slight delay in food serving not because of Taj Agra but mostly due to children taking time to decide what to eat. However, the quality and taste of the food were outstanding, and guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Special mention goes to Taj Agra for preparing a delicious vegetarian meal specifically for MLA Peter Cain. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate individual needs contributed greatly to the success of the event.
Overall, the Taj Agra administration's commitment to providing excellent service made this community event successful. If you're planning anniversaries, children's birthdays, or larger gatherings, I highly recommend working with the Taj Agra Belconnen team. Their understanding and willingness to go the extra mile ensure a...
Read moreWe ate here tonight and as visitors to Australia were looking forward to eating somewhere that had been recommended.. .....we were in for a big disappointment . All other eating houses in the road were full with people waiting but not Taj Agra. Virtually empty and no wonder. Polite enough but the food was second rate. Poor quality and we complained about the clay oven chicken tikka and chicken mahani (butter).....both were dry as a bone and tough and after trying left the rest. Onion bhajis were poor and tasteless. Only 3 choices of rice. When receiving the bill I exclaimed how disappointed I was that despite complaining nothing had been reduced. The boss asked me what was wrong with it so clearly the staff had not reported my complaint. He said the dishes were supposed to be like that!!!!! If you visit here don't waste your money on any of these dishes. I am a chef myself and although not Asian I think 50+ years of enjoying these dishes, I know the chicken should be succulent. I told the boss I was leaving a review, there was no apology and I look at reviews before going out to eat somewhere normally but not this...
Read moreBeen here before, and they tend to have been good in the past. We went here on CNY, and I was quite disappointed tbh.
I'll point out, they were somewhat accommodating. Despite being busy, the waitress organised a table for us.
However, from entry, it would take a whole hour before we would see food. They took forever just to take our order. A neighbouring table looked like they were going to leave (also waiting for order to be taken). There was zero communication about wait times or anything.
Mum had to use the toilet, she told me that they were absolutely feral. I luckily didn't need to go.
The food, was very average. I would have to say that they went crazy with tomatoes in the butter chicken, and the chicken wasn't marinated, and very dry. The nan and somosas were probably the only thing that was good.
Again, I have been here before, and could have sworn it was good in the past, but after last night, I doubt I will visit again.
If you want to try here, do so if you have heaps of time, and ok waiting a long...
