If i could rate 0 stars I would, absolutely horrible service. We placed an order at 6:30 pm (estimated arrival 7:15) and now it is 9:00 and we have not received our order - almost a 3 hour wait. A courtesy call would have been greatly appreciated regarding the status of our order considering we spent over $100 dollars on our food. We requested for an update through the app multiple times and called multiple times regarding an update for our order and only after calling 5+ times did they answer the phone. Please do not order from uber eats from the restaurant as you cannot cancel the orders from uber eats and you cannot cancel through the restaurant. Worst customer service experience I have ever received from a restaurant. What a horrible experience especially on Valentine’s day. I guess it’s McDonalds for dinner for Valentine’s day. Never again.
Update: 9:50pm. To make matter worse, they have said they “delivered” our order which is not here. We have security footage from now until 10:00pm with no one “delivering our order”. We expect a full refund this is absolutely astonishing and disgusting scam of a restaurant. Once again. Phones were unreachable....
Read moreOn a visit to Canberra from Melbourne and we decided to try this little jewel of a restaurant near our hotel. As we neared the restaurant the aromas from the kitchen were wafting onto the street and were very enticing. We were warmly greeted and seated by the host. The gentleman was very patient & helpful with my companion who has a multitude of dietary restrictions and guided her through the menu reassuringly. For entree we ordered the Amritsari fish which was fresh white fish pieces delicately spiced, lightly coated then fried. Cooked perfectly they were light & delicious. We also enjoyed the crisply cased vegie samosas. For mains we tried the goat curry which was beautifully spiced, the delicate flavoured meat on the bone was cooked fork tender and bathed in a mild curry sauce. A mild dal dish & white rice made very good accompaniments, as did the spinach & cheese naan. Service was very friendly & accomodating. Meals were served in good time. Servings were generous. Highly recommended. It is a shame we don’t live in Canberra as we would have put this great eatery on our...
Read moreThis is the first time I had food at Yogi's kitchen. Nestled in the suburb of Barton surrounded mostly by offices, Yogi's is a small Indian joint with seating for 20 pax. The menu is extensive with good options including the usual chickpeas curry, paneer gravy, tandoori chicken etc.
We ordered appetizers, mains with breads including aloo papdi chaat, paneer sizzler, mirch paneer and dal makhni.
Both the chaat and sizzlers were enough for three people and tasted quite good. The chaat included boiled potato, spinach pakoras, yogurts and chutney. The sizzler though a bit too charred taste great with a lemony kick.
The mirch paneer was a dry veggie with cottage cheese, capsicum and onion. It tasted great with a bit of spice and the dal was nice and creamy.
A special mention for the butter naan- flaky, crispy and buttery - true to its name.
The lassis came out late and could have been missed.
They also have a lunch special for $12 including a curry, naan and rice which I might try in the coming month.
All in all a great option for...
