I recently visited Dobinsons at Gungahlin Marketplace, and I must say, their coffee is hands down the best in town! The aroma of freshly ground beans hits you as soon as you approach their charming outdoor seating area.

I doubted I will be back at Dobinsons' Gungahlin. I gave a shot for the second time on this public servant's preferred choice. To get started they do not respect queueing order they go to the usual customers so you wait for your turn that could be a while. Last time I shared that incident, this time as I was so eager to have my coffee I just noticed the guy coming all the way from the back to serve another customer, so I had to step in. The coffee was just not good, tasteless, and too warm for my hands to handle the package as no extra coffee sleeve was available. Conversely, the croissant was not asked to be warmed so it came cold to me. 🙈

Anyway, if you are in the area there are heaps of other coffee shops, including two good ones crossing the road from this one. I know Dobinsons looks attractive as their trade dress is fantastic, and tables outside are inviting but... Not the same quality and customer service as Dobinsons in...

We have always loved Dobinson's. It is one of the best bakeries we have encountered over many places, here and overseas. I was there yesterday afternoon, being served by a delightful girl, very quiet and just doing her job so well and respectfully. While she was serving me, I heard some foul language coming from a male, whose name I caught, and I was shocked. This was a very troubling experience as this language was in front of my granddaughter and the lack of professionalism at that time of the day, was completely unacceptable. Not sure how people are trained these days, but it has certainly tarnished the reputation of a business which has always had exemplary service. Hats off especially, to the young girl who served me and to the lovely Bruno, who are what this establishment is meant to showcase. So very, very disappointed.
