Ordered for the first time. Always order from Arirang but they were closed. I love me some boneless Korean fried chicken. I had to set up a menulog account (Arirang use uber eats). Three reasons why I am giving Tongdak a one star:
For the price of the chicken, I expected boneless fried chicken, like every Korean friend chicken restaurants offer. I got chicken wings instead. This is what I call a rort. Two small boxes of chicken wings does not cost over $50, period.
From when I placed the order to when it arrived at my doorstep, it took over 90 minutes. I called the restaurant twice and they are blaming the menulog driver. Absolute lack of accountability. Instead, it is seemingly normal to have my food there sitting for over an hour and have cold food delivered to customers.
Not flavourful compared to other Korean fried chicken in Canberra. This would have to be the worse one yet.

Read moreI love this place. They do bibimbap really well - it comes in a sizzling hot bowl that cooks the raw egg yolk on top and gives the rice a nice crust. A really nice eating experience. I always ask for extra chilli sauce and the chef never charges me extra, which is a nice gesture. I also tried their ginseng chicken soup on a cold day - really warmed me up. They gave a whole chicken- just very good quality wholesome ingredients used. I do recommend trying the above dishes for experiencing fresh ingredients, something more than just Korean...
