Bento Tei — Restaurant in District of Gungahlin

Super friendly service and if you are a fan of Japanese culture and food in particular, you have come to the right restaurant. They offer takeout, delivery, eat ins and their menu is varied. Although Bento boxes were their specialty, they have improved their menu a whole lot adding various deserts, sides and noodle dishes. Doesn't offer outdoor seating (although with their shop position, it's not possible so I'll give them that) and their dining area is small but convenient, which is why takeout is recommended because Bento boxes are mostly used for that purpose.

Very nice staff members. They cater easily to picky eater requests. Great Japanese food choices and delicous food. The Ramen is very tasty and portion size is perfect! Udon is also a great dish. Also chicken katsu is a nice dish. The kids menu is deightful with rice in the shape of a bear. I really enjoy that the have anime playing on the tv so you can watch it as you eat. Comfy chairs! ☺ Highly recommend! I would say best place to eat! Great value. You can choose from many delivery apps to order Bento Tei. I would like them to be able to deliver to most of the belconnen area but I know that's a bit far for orders maybe Lol 😜...

10/10 personal recommendation for food in gungahlin, offering generous portions with a wide variety of flavours. The staff are always excellent and kind.

My only critique is that the shop itself can be difficult to find for people not actively looking for it, unfortunately it's nestled in between larger and more extravagant shops making it less obvious when I try to direct people to them,

In turn, however, this does add to the atmosphere. Anytime I take a seat inside, it truly feels like being whisked away in an old miyazaki film.

A place like this deserves far more recognition...
