PJ O'Reilly's Tuggeranong — Restaurant in District of Tuggeranong

Awesome place! Went there on a quiet Sunday afternoon for lunch and a few drinks. The Rusty Yak ginger beer on tap is really nice (it's got a kick!)

The staff were really friendly, really helpful. They really looked after us even bringing each of my mate's Kilkennys to the table after letting the head die down and topping up the glass at the bar.

The food. The food I wish I could say better things about. The chips are good. I got the Chicken Schnitzel with BBQ pulled pork on top and melted cheese on top of all that.

The chicken wasn't dry, the crumbing was crunchy. The pork was tender and the mozzarella was melted perfectly, stringy and a bit golden brown. But I just didn't get much flavour from it. It might have been my fault for not putting salt on it. Mozzarella doesn't have heaps of flavour in general, but the BBQ pork, while very tender, didn't taste like anything. Nothing in the breading of the schnitzel (that I could discern).

So it's definitely a great place, with great staff. I'll definitely go back. But I'll order something that's not...

We go to PJs every fortnight and have been doing so for a long time. We love it there, the atmosphere and the schnitzel and service are always great. Tonight though, couldn't believe how rude the person at the bar was, asking us to check in 2 seconds after we walked in (more like barking an order), then insisting we verify we had done so by showing her our phones. Admittedly she got us on a bad day, having just buried my father. She wasn't to know this of course but perhaps as a person in customer service she should be more cognisant of her role in not making assumptions about people. Be a bit more gentle next time love, we are happy to check in and do whatever we need to do but perhaps in a pretty much covid absent community we don't need to jump on people and then make them feel like criminals. Perhaps customer service...

PJ is a wonderful establishment for all to enjoy from the peaceful family dinners to a crazy friday night if you no what I mean,

You can catch some live music while playing 8 ball with your mate or watch some sports as you kick back at the bar where you will find wonderful service,

PJ's also has great meal options I myself love the chicken Schnitzel with good tasting veggies and the drinks are always nice and cold,
