I am done with Dunn & Walton. I have been a customer of approx. 6 years and bought for about 200-300 AUD a week. Over the time frustration has built up. The owners senior, as junior come across very arrogant and very stingy. The service is poor. If I had fruits or vegetables that turned out to be mouldy or the inside was rotten the only one who didn't fuss about it was Leah. She, to me, is the only one who knows what a good customer service is. The other ones including the owners quizzed me and made me look like I am trying to save a dollar. It actually felt quite humiliating if there are other customers around and I am being questioned. What made me take the final decision is that I also bought organics from the close by Asian fruit and veggie shop. It seems the owner has changed and I asked the new one if he can ensure that they will keep the little organic range they have. He said they will take them out. I asked why. He seemed uncomfortable but I insisted on an answer as I said I would than not buy at their store anymore as I only come for the organic stuff and than buy some other vegetables as well. He didn't want to reply but kind of told me that there was a conflict of interest. It doesn't take much to understand what that means. Okay folks from Dunn and Walton. You are totally overpriced. Part of why I still came to your store was because of the Asian store two houses further as I could balance my shopping. You seem to be trying to control your business by telling others in your area not to sell organics? I think it would be smarter to overthink your pricing. I have told the Asian store that if they don't sell the organic stuff anymore I will stop buying at theirs AND at your store. And that is the decision I have taken today anyhow because I am very loyal but there is a red line. And that one has been crossed now. Good luck with your arrogant management and your high prices. Thank goodness there are...
Read moreAll I can say is coffee and warmed up chocolate brownie with vanilla icecream... But the hey you may find that getting a decent place to enjoy it will be hard, they don't really have anyplace to sit. Bummer. Only a bench for 3 ppl. Wow, I didn't know it was 6 yrs ago I posted that review above, time flies. I just got back from visiting this shop March 2025 and it's changed a lot. They must have taken note of my comments about seating, as well as everyone else saying the same. Anyway it's organic and it's about as cliche as you can get. In terms of pricing, you'd expect to pay more. However I'm just wondering how organic garlic could cost approx $80 a kilo here, when in another grocery shop Chinese garlic is $3.99 for half a kilo and Woolies sell Aussie garlic for $30 per kilo (the last 2 shops are in karrinyup)..am I missing something here. Is Australia becoming a weird place to shop or what. Oh, I asked for a 2 short Mac topped up and got a 2 flat white with way too much foam 😂...anyway, it's first world problems and will I go...
Read moreI’ve been a regular customer to Dunn and Walton for 6-7 years now. Lovely staff, amazing dedication to authentic organic seasonal yummy foods. However in recent months I’ve noticed a new male chef that couldn’t careless about food presentation. He burnt the eggs on the loaded toast order, the toast was soggy and when I went back to have him redo the order- he was smirking the whole time. Very unprofessional behaviour- not to mention when I received the loaded toast again, this time he pulled off the burnt edges of the eggs which left me with little egg left? Honestly a chef that can’t even cook eggs properly and doesn’t care about presentation makes me wonder how he got the job? Hopefully Dunn & Walton will see this and make the adjustments needed for a better...
