Halaal Best German Doner Kebab in Perth!

I was on the hunt for a proper German Doner Kebab (GDK) in Perth, something like what you get in the UK, and I’m so glad I discovered Shiish. They serve authentic Berliner Doner Kebab, and after watching some videos on TikTok, I had to check it out myself—and it definitely lived up to the hype!

Chef and owner Ali is an absolute legend. He personally recommended trying their Berliner Doner and the Loaded Cheesy Chip Kebab, and both were phenomenal. What really stood out were the unique house-made sauces—Shiish, Algeria, and Samurai—all new to me and all seriously delicious. They perfectly complement the kebab and take the flavour to another level.

I usually don’t bother with the bread in a kebab, but here it’s so fresh, soft, and tasty that I actually enjoyed every bite with it. You can tell they really care about quality.

To top it all off, Ali treated us to a complimentary baklava. He explained he’s originally from Türkiye, where baklava comes from, and honestly, I’ve had baklava all over the world—including in Türkiye itself—but his baklava is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. A must-try!

Friends - you may think you’re quite the kebab connoisseur, but trust and believe me when I tell you - you have NEVER had a kebab like this!

Shiish in Victoria Park are now creating Berliner kebabs and Perth can now exactly why they’ve gone VIRAL in Europe. The German bread is baked in-house and is firm and crisp on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside and it is like no bread I have ever tasted.

The glorious range of sauces are also made on the premises and each one is more delicious than the next. Shiish pride themselves on their top quality ingredients - especially the meat itself - and it’s evident in every scrumptious bite.

Try the viral Berliner that I’m still dreaming about, or the French kebab (all the kebab yumminess but in a soft wrap WITH French fries then lightly toasted ermagerddddd) and don’t miss the exquisite baklava to polish it off.

You KNOW it’s a superior feed when the partner is chewing with his eyes closed, one kid is video messaging their friends during the meal saying ‘We are coming here!’ and the other one literally says at lunch ‘Can we come back here for dinner?’

OMG!!! Heard about this place from a mate and was so excited to hop in and try Shiish - and I am so glad I did!

The service was impeccably attentive, warm and friendly - the menu was amazing and hard to choose from, but as a die-hard HSP lover that has travelled the entire country in search of the best snack packs in the nation, I think I can safely say that the HSP here is next level!!

I give the snackie 10/10 - this halal snack pack (meat box) was HUGE! I got the large for $25 and of course added cheese and the Holy Trinity of sauces - BBQ, Garlic and Chilli. It was perfectly applied and the ideal amount of each.

The chips were perfectly cooked and crispy even under all that juicy tender meat. The cheese was generously applied and had a wonderful stretch.

The meat! Ohhhhh BOY! It was deliciously seasoned and thinly sliced - rich and tender and juicy with no icky bits of gristle or lumps, it was beautifully cooked and the chicken was spectacular! The beef had a deep rich flavour.

Honestly I cannot WAIT to go back!!! I am going to gorge my way through the entire menu.
