How this place remains to be busy is beyond me. Service is horrible, the old lady that greeted us needed a massive attitude adjustment. We were 15 minutes late thanks to the Vic Park parking situation, understandably we were greeted with a do you realise you only have the table for the next 40 minutes or so - fair enough if your restaurant is packed, but with so many tables free, hardly something you should worry about that much. But anywho....

We ordered 3 ramen, Miso, Black Garlic and a GF ramen. Miso ramen, not even hot, it was luke warm and it tasted weird. Broth had a sourness to it, since when Miso was sour. Go figure.

Black Garlic, fair call, the Mrs likes it and she enjoys it, but seriously, I had a taste and Ippudo or even the FOMO Japanese ramen is so so so so so so so much better and much cheaper.

Now, for the Grand Final, our daughter in law is gluten intollerant, so kudos to them they had the gluten free menu. However, what came out was crazy crazy crazy bad. There was hardly any taste to the broth, no kidding, it tasted like warm water with salt. The egg was freezing cold, YES COLD and it was horrible.

We did order the Karaage and the GF Gyoza, Karaage in all fairness was decent and Gyoza was standard.

However, being a ramen place, their ramen seriously OMG, it's subpar.

The entire thing costs us about $110.00 for the 3 of us. EXPENSIVE? you better believe it!

Also guys, seriously, cut out with the idiot sayings in some of your stickers, what are we in school? Banks give us nothing for free, dishwashing is hard? Jesus, close the restaurant if it's so hard to do these things.

Absolutely, horrible, never ever will I ever come here again, I do hope this place reflects hard on themselves.... as for everyone who loves this place? seriously, give yourself some other option for god sakes.

Ippudo, Hakata, FOMO ramen, the Melbourne hotel ramen place... cheaper and with no attitude to serve.

PS. The best part of it all, is we didn't even need the 40 minutes, the ramen was so crap we didn't eat it all (in all fairness, except the black garlic where the Mrs liked it - but dont know why). Also, the best part of the entire night was the server that took our order. If it wasn't for her this place deserve a zero star.... She was patient and absolutely pleasant to deal with, maybe she can teach the old server new tricks.....

Pss. Thank you for the business responding. It's a little bit hard to call ahead when you have to spend 20 minutes finding parking on a Saturday night, but sure, we accept the criticism (one of many for this place) but as mentioned we do not mind being told we only have 40 minutes as mentioned above, as I said understandably we were told of the time limitation, it was more of the rude attitude of the way it was told.

But then again it's understandable with the the attitude as it's the entire tone of the restaurant with these so called stickers you have around the place with the semi aggressive tones in them. Dude you are a restaurant, you are telling your customers how hard it is to dish wash! Why would you plan ahead for that misunderstanding. Seriously.... The EFTPOS fee is understandable, perhaps a less aggressive note on it will be better. Remember, not all your customers are young and hip and can accept those tones in language. You are not Karen's diner?

Thanks again for the response though, good to hear the...

Visited this ramen place with my family today around 6pm. One of the younger female staff has assisted us, told us the rule where everyone need to be here before you can get a table. I understood it and told the staff my sister is walking from her parking to the restaurant. There is also very few customers in the restuarant so she has kindly gave us a table and let us sit.

There are probs 4 -5 tables max in the restaurant (including the one we are about to sit) were occupied, restuarant is fairly empty as it is early evening.

As we were trying to sit down, an older staff (middle age asian female) came and spoke to me very rudely. She asked me whether i have reservation and I told her, No but the other lady let me sit...... She proceeded to talk over me right away while I was trying to tell her another staff has spoken to me and gave me a table.

She started saying something along the line oh you dont have reservation, you need to ask us, you need to go and wait till everyone is here etc etc. The way she approached me and spoke to me were very rude.

I was left standing there awkwardly not sure whether I am allowed to sit. I was very confused, embarrassed and upset. The older staff went to speak to the younger staff and realised i was actually offered a table.

Afterward, she just ignored me/pretend nothing happen after that. She did not come apologies for her action at all, how she spoken and confronted me very rudely. Is it because I am younger than her so she think it is ok to speak to me this way?

If she ask a question, she should let her customer finish her sentence before accusing them, assuming they are one of those customers that sat down without getting seated by staff. She shouldnt speak to anyone like this, no one deserves to be treated this way. She make me feel like we did something wrong when we didnt, she basically told us off and my mom got pretty upset afterwards.

After dinner, I went to pay at 6:17pm and told her about her wrong doing. It is not acceptable for her to treat me like this. She make me feels like I am just some ignorance customer that sat down without asking, trying to make me go back to the door and wait?

It is frustrating because she asked me a question and wont let me finish/listen to the end before telling me how I cant sit here without reservation and etc etc (In a very rude tone).

The food is also not as good as...

I recently ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry Don from Ramen Samurai through UberEats. The food itself was delicious, one of the better curry's I've had in Perth. However, the serving size of the meal left me with mixed feelings and I'm writing this review so that hopefully others can make informed decisions based on their preference.

The price for the dish was $22.50, and I opted to pay extra for additional curry sauce which was another $3. The total cost, including the extra sauce, seemed a bit on the higher side, but I was willing to pay for what I hoped would be an exceptional meal based on reviews.

Upon receiving the order, I couldn't help but notice that the quantity of curry sauce was somewhat disappointing. As you can see in the attached photo, the sauce container was only about a third full and the container which had the rice in, did not have any curry in it.

I reached out to the restaurant and they responded by saying that the amount of curry received was standard, saying that it's about three ladle's worth using their standard ladle. I generally eat what I'm given but on this occasion still felt that it was a lot less than regular serving sizes from many other restaurants.

Looking at some of the other reviews, it seems there is at least one other customer who's expectation was not met in regards to the serving size.

In the end, my experience with Ramen Samurai was okay. Again, the food itself was very delicious but portion size, especially for a meal that I paid $25 for was not to my expectation.

Worth noting that they did offer to refund the $3 I paid for extra curry sauce which was nice of them but that wasn't why I reached out...

i've never been here and i've never heard anything abt it or seen any marketing i was just walking around and decided to go in pleasant atmosphere and decoration everything looks clean and nice i had to wait a bit for seating because it was busy but no worries if anyone wants to come in and not wait i'd advise booking because it seems like that's their preferred way of seating people since they asked if we had a booking upon entry service was very nice and all the food came quickly i think everything is reasonably priced as the total came to $90 for two sides, two drinks, and two mains. the food was very good i was really impressed the ramen was good the unagi was really good ! the side salad was also very nice the dressing was good and it was very nice and crunchy as is came with some sort of topping the miso soup was just alright but i'm not picky with miso soup since it comes in a set and i didn't have to order it on the side my only thing is. i drink a lot of water and i have to go to the water station a lot to refill and i wish the rice was less soft but those two are more personal preferences since i personally drink a lot of water and i personally prefer less soft rice. i always add less water when i make rice to make it not super soft. overall im very happy. i ended up reading some reviews before making my review and it seems like a lot of people had issues with service here but i did not experience that at all service was very quick and friendly

For a place named after ramen, their ramen was a disappointment. Ordered the devil ramen, fully expecting a delicious spicy broth but instead it's very bland! The menma (bamboo shoot) has no taste at all, even the cha siu are bland. The ramen is the only thing that saved the dish, it was perfectly cooked and chewy as well. Tried my wife's order of shoyu ramen and the broth was definitely better than mine but even so, the taste was just ok. However, their chicken karaage was an exceptional dish!! It was crunchy, you can taste the seasoning with every bite, saltiness, the ginger, simply put, it outshine the ramen by far!!! Maybe they should rename the restaurant to Donburi Samurai :) One more thing, we have quite a large group tonight with children as well, and as the bench was full and we still have 2 kids (12 yrs old) that doesn't have a place yet, one of the waiter suggested that they shares a chair, instead of giving them an extra table even when both are ordering one dishes each, unacceptable!
