DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THE BRIDGE HOTEL, ECHUCA!!!!
We were a group of five who arrived on a Friday night at 6.30pm, we ordered our drinks and meals promptly. Our meals were literally thrown in front of us within 10 minutes and we were told the bar was closing. Shortly thereafter, the waitress started presenting to the table repeatedly asking to take our plates, despite the obvious fact that we were still eating.
Then within moments of finishing our meal, another member of staff came and turned the heater off and advised the lights would soon be turned off as well – this was at 8pm, the website states the hotel is open until 11pm. We were quiet and respectful patrons who had just spent $200+ at this venue however we were made to feel very, very unwelcome.
On our way out I asked if I could speak to the manager, the manager was Kelly - see below (the staff member who came in and turned the heater off). When I advised that I would be posting a negative review Kelly became verbally abusive and I was then physically assaulted by her as we were leaving the venue. As a result of Kelly’s verbal and physical abusive, WE called the police who attended the venue to address the situation.
Having now seen previous reviews, I can see this type of RUDE, OFFENSIVE AND ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour is typical from the staff at this hotel. There are more deserving businesses in Echuca, do not waste your time or money at the...
Read moreWagyu burger experience. We wanted a lovely lunch in Echuca and spontaneously decided on a burger at this place. After an uncomfortably long wait we were presented with a sizeable turkish bread roll on a bed of chips in a camping tin. Then the voyage of discovery began and i finally discovered a small sad finger of meat carefully hidden under a single piece of lettuce somewhere in the middle of the bun. The delight did not end there as kudos to the chef skills, I have no idea how he/she managed it but wagyu is inherently marbled meat and this sad result was as dry and shrivelled as my 80 year old peasant grandmother. Incredible. The cutlery I purloined from another table simple could not cut it and I asked for a steak knife. My partner then bravely attempted to cut her meal into bite size chunks. I gave up and used my hands. It was an interesting way to spend the afternoon, chewing a mouthful for minutes in order to be able to swallow each chunk. Despite the protests of my digestive track, the meat bounced down eventually to my stomach. I will feel full for a week after this as it is unlikely to travel further for a long while. At least I felt safe and protected from harm as the lukewarm chips were not going to burn my tender lips. Thank You for the privilege of spending $60 for these amazing... things plus a couple of drinks. I don't think I can summon the...

We booked a table on the deck. The view, area was lovely. The service was prompt however, to order drinks we had to order at the bar, and to order desert we had to order at the cafe?? Not exactly table service.
We ordered starters for a table of 6. Nachos and chicken wings (large). The food came within 5-10mins (the time it took to order drinks at the bar). The food was not great. The wings in particular were forgettable, for $25 i expected better quality. They seemed, pre cooked in an oven, reheated and shouldered in sauce. We were not provided any share plates and when we asked the waitress she just dropped them on the table, no smile, no emotion.
Just as we began our starters, 6 main courses were delivered to the table. Literally within 5 mins of the starters coming.!! We had food everywhere, barely enough room for glasses.
The mains were not great. The parma was served with a scatter of dried out chips. The 2 serve smoked platter ($68) had dried out meats, not tender, more stringy than anything. Disappointed.
I think this restaurant has a lot to offer, but service and food...
