Lunch on Sunday 28th May. Pub has ambiance but no atmosphere. Tables sticky, need heavy duty cleaning. Bar staff friendly but when making menu enquiries to another floor staff member re rocket salad, was condecendingly advised calamari was listed with rocket salad. I politely asked if there was any other salad options for the chicken parmi as it was also only served with rocket and there was no other side salad options on the menu. We compromised that the rocket could be substituted with cos lettuce. I ordered the Gamberi prawn pizza. It was fairly tasteless, thin crust in the middle but outside crusts crisp on the outside but very doughy on the inside. Ordered the pizza after reading rave reviews online stating best pizza ever but definitely not in my opinion and I have sampled pizzas worldwide. Fellow diner's parmi was fine, few chips only and cos lettuce was wilted. Pepper sauce on the side was served in very small ramekin and not worth the extra charge. Meals and drinks are expensive especially for a regional pub, $21.50 for a scooner of beer and regular sized house wine. With the cost of living so high it is no wonder people are avoiding eating out at these overpriced venues when there is no value for money. It's a no brainer that pubs must start to encourage diners back by offering tasty meals and drinks at a more affordable price. Newsflash, not everyone loves rocket so at least offer a tasty salad alternative. Not that hard. Very disappointing...

A young lady roughly 19-20 was simply doing some restocking when from what I heard Paul didn’t like the way she was doing it, he spoke to her at the bar quite rudely, by the sound of it she then simply asked him to not speak to her in such a matter and leave her alone, she then walked away to continue working, he then proceeded to follow her into the what I believe is the cool room (basically cornering her) to then hear and see him scream at her for doing her job is unbelievable and just utterly disgusting, the poor lady quite distraught and upset, stood up for her self and left, I don’t blame her, it’s blues festival, it’s the last day and no one deserves to be treated like that in any situation. I tried to see if she was okay but she had left pretty quickly. Definitely won’t be coming back to support a business run by a “MAN” like that. We had a look at the menu that's on the site but when we got there the menu was a little different. The porterhouse was 350g on the website and 300g on the in house menu. As both the porterhouse and scotch fillet were 300g we decided on them. The price on the menu was $44. They were quite tasty, although my wife thought hers was a little overcooked When we looked on the receipt, we noticed we were charged $46 for each steak. $4 isn't much but we queried it and were told that the menu had not yet been updated with the new prices! We weren't offered the $4 or a free drink or anything to compensate. Honest mistakes happen and we would have been ok if that was the case, but we feel like they should have manually changed the menu so they were no surprises like we had.
